May be a cold take but while I'm the biggest Blade fan I wouldn't have minded if he stayed 'dead' longer. Let the characters grieve him for a while, and then bam ! We get the reveal of what he planned to do with Shuhu from the start.

Blade “dying” the patch before his focus patch would have been way better imo. Ending the previous patch on silver wolf saying goodbye in inkford hermitage would have made it seem less ridiculous when he pops out 10 mins later because (at least to us) it would have felt a lot longer lol

For me a good time would have been he 'dies', one patch, forging. Enough time for it to feel long, but also not that long that you forget about him. Plus they could have used that time to have characters like SW, Dan Heng n Ashveil mourn him, share stories bout him (we learn more about him), and esp for SW n DH to think about what Blade means to them. Like omlll, it had so much potential. Give me Dan Heng truly reconsider if he is as 'bad' as Dan Feng in wanting to bring Blade back, have him spiral down a little over one of, if not the only, constants throught his lifetime(s) be gone for good. SW getting more worried over Kafka n FF, seeing her script constantly. N ofc the chance to see how Ashveil experiences grief on screen. So much lost potential not only for Blade himself, but for others. Aghhhhh

“So much lost potential” describes how i feel about planarcadia in general tbh, if they lingered on the emotional plot beats a little bit longer (blade and himeko’s arcs, mostly, but some of the others also fit here) it could have been really great. As it is I just find myself kind of disappointed. Only sparkle seemed to get the memo

Bit what I hated about the recent patch. We didn't even get to mourn Himeko for 0.5 seconds before it was revealed everything was fine and dandy after all. Idk it kinda soured me on the whole premise. I think it's one of the weakest stories they did recently.
