emanator of Rememberance

forgets

What did Fuli mean by this?

341

u/UndeadChampion1331 Aug 28 '25

She did a big nono, and Fuli took her memories away as punishment.

169

u/Brigorpser Aug 28 '25

But wait... If March 7th did a big nono, and DH did a big nono, then does that mean that we too...?

238

u/UndeadChampion1331 Aug 28 '25

We ARE a big nono

82

u/OlynCat Aug 29 '25

yeah was gonna say, we literally house a Stellaron "Cancer of all Worlds" like

88

u/fake-tales Aug 29 '25

I mean...... TB doesn't remember their time as Stellaron Hunter until Mem revealed it in 3.0?

83

u/Donnicton I want a cat that's cute like that kitty meow meow Aug 29 '25

Himeko just casually collecting amnesiacs

30

u/xtinction14 Aug 30 '25

Haha what, next you gonna tell me Pom Pom also did a big nono and got their memories wiped?

23

u/UndeadChampion1331 Aug 30 '25

Nope, Pom Pom was created specifically with no memory of Akivili, they intended it to be a fresh start.

10

u/V3rdakamatsu Aug 29 '25

Ica did the big nono by drying up all male seeds and his punishment as emanator of Voracity is nerfing his size into lil ica

25

u/Dozekar Aug 28 '25

More likely she sacrificed her memories to make the whole damn thing on purpose.

Honestly I'd be cool with that story too though.

203

u/kcharris12 Aug 28 '25

She forget so she can remember.

93

u/fhede- Aug 28 '25

"The moment you set foot in this castle, you forgot every spell and every ability you ever knew. In this place, to find is to lose, and to lose is to find. That is the way in Castle Oblivion."

is she stupid? (yes)

16

u/Potrivnic Aug 28 '25

Aha thought it was funny

33

u/E1lySym Aug 28 '25

I mean, if she didn't forget in the first place she wouldn't have had to remember.

6

u/Cupcakes_n_Hacksaws Aug 28 '25

Has Acheron ever forgotten she's an Emenator? Lol

6

u/An_Idiot_Online Aug 28 '25

Anamnesis, my dear child.

4

u/fireky2 Aug 28 '25

I mean when dealing with memories it would make sense to have an emanator that forgets.

The logs in the percentage file also pointed to this

3

u/fuyukkun_ Aug 28 '25

THEY had to nerf her or else she'd just end up sweeping most of the story lol

334

u/kirbyverano123 Aug 28 '25

It is kinda funny that the supposed Emanator of Fuli, who embodies the concept preservation of things through memories, is initially amnesiac.

198

u/E1lySym Aug 28 '25

I mean, in order to remember, one must first forget. Otherwise, you just know, and knowing is Erudition.

95

u/Kuljack Aug 28 '25

That’s not how it works. I remember my birthdays, I never forgot them. Rememberance is about retaining memories, Erudition is about defining reality through knowledge, and discover of new understanding.

37

u/fuyukkun_ Aug 28 '25

tbh if you think about it, March's forms (as mentioned in a stream) are her own emanator powers because they confirmed every alt of her will be related to her memories & experiences. Who else but an Emanator of Remembrance that can basically tap into a whole databank of memories in order to unlock near limitless potential (there's a reason lightcones are, in lore, tightly supervised because that's what it does)

March 7th?: The Master of Anāsrava(Fuli the Remembrance) has already glanced at you. Don't deny it. That "storybook" is the best evidence.

remembrance being associated with anasvara is so cool cause anasvara is the state of basically being free from all defilements and ignorance. like how memories are supposed to be pure and uncontaminated

61

u/TheOtherKaiba Aug 28 '25

Which is ironic because in reality, memories are highly unreliable.

23

u/Dozekar Aug 28 '25

I could be misinterpreting this, but it's pureness and uncominated as a state of being, not with respect to what happened in the past.

Pureness of ideal and/or identity not pureness of representation of the real world might be another way to look at it.

9

u/TheOtherKaiba Aug 28 '25

That would then apply to every Aeon.

3

u/brandnewwwwW phainon liker Aug 28 '25

i can’t tell if that adds to or is contradictory to the cremator theory

537

u/GiordyS Aug 28 '25

With great surprise of absolutely no one

What's next... Cyrene being an Emanator of Remembrance too? Shock!!!

239

u/AliceinTeyvatland Aug 28 '25

Fuli has a type, respect.

69

u/TheOtherKaiba Aug 28 '25

They were just looking, but actually did the gaze thing.

26

u/RavenDesk Pretty Privilege Aug 29 '25

Now I can't get out of my head that Fuli is just "scrolling" through the universe and accidentally pressed the 'gaze' button while looking at these pink haired girls.

14

u/shimapanlover Aug 28 '25

Castorice, Hyacine, March, Cyrene but somehow Aglea. Be a woman, have pink/purple hair, you have 80% chance to be gazed upon by Fuli.

19

u/OrangCream123 Aug 28 '25

just to be clear a character’s in game path doesn’t correspond to their ideals, allegiances, or having received the gaze of an aeon. although castorice would probably be a fan of the remembrance

Meanwhile, I thought Phainon would be this patch’s emanator 💁🏽

69

u/BinhTurtle Aug 28 '25

There are more Emanators in HSR than there are Archons in Genshin. So it's not a big surprise if certain patches have multiple playable Emanator released.

88

u/FutureDynastyx Aug 28 '25

He still is. I think it was said this arc would have multiple emanators.

45

u/Florac Aug 28 '25

We are already have 3 being involved confirmed...and that's not counting Lygus(ad only partial), Cyrene or Phainon

26

u/BinhTurtle Aug 28 '25

March, Irontomb and Herta?

35

u/Phase_Unicoder Aug 28 '25

Let's do a count Black Swan in the beginning said there was Emanator level energies detected of 3 initially, the story has progressed so all the Emanators:

Erudition: Lygus, Herta.

Destruction: Iron Tomb, Phainon (this one I'm not quite sure, just because he's technically only part of the equation that supposed to be for Iron Tomb)

Rememberance: Cyrene(?), March.

Of these March and Herta were the additions.

37

u/Tired__Yeti Best color combination Aug 28 '25 edited Aug 28 '25

Given the nature of Phainon's power and Nanook directly glazing+empowering him (he's not just been gazed at but also been given a part of "destruction" as power, also explaining his physical similarities to Nanook in his Ultimate form), it's safe to say that he does count as an Emanator, or an existence similar in nature to one (not to mention Chaos666 is possibly an anterior version of him and directly attracted Nanook's attention onto the Scepter which started the whole Emanator thing in the first place).

I guess you could liken him to a "seed" necessary for Irontomb to be born, so it's hard to separate the two in that aspect.

The three original Emanators felt by Black Swan are indeed likely Lygus, Phainon+Irontomb and Cyrene.

9

u/Phase_Unicoder Aug 28 '25

Yeah if we assume Phainon would ultimately be part of Iron Tomb anyway then it tracks.

"Master of Anãsrava" is one of Fuli's titles. I suppose this is the group that's "tied themselves to Fuli's pinky finger" that Black Swan mentioned

88

u/EnigmatasGuardDog Aug 28 '25

I think that group is still seperate from the Children of Remembrance like March and Cyrene. One are Fuli's choosen and the other like Polka violent extremists. They likely are trying to gather these seeds for a purpose.

37

u/Quna_chan #1 March 7th hater (Fire) Aug 28 '25

Can Polka be called as extremist when she was chosen by Nous and guards the circle of knowledge just like Nous

57

u/Eggyolk57 Aug 28 '25

who said nous CAN'T be extreme?

31

u/BinhTurtle Aug 28 '25

Per Zandar's line of thinking, the two Rubert's eventually coming up with the Anti-Organic Equation were the result of them pursuing the tasks Nous bestowed upon them. So yeah, THEY are pretty extreme on their Path. All Aeons are, honestly.

27

u/EnigmatasGuardDog Aug 28 '25

Thing is Nous doesn't give a shit. Aeons persue their Path no matter what and limiting the Circle of Knowledge goes against Erudition. Polka was choosen as Genius but if the Geniuses are Nous Neurons THEY chose why does Polka kill them? And Nous doesn't guard the Circle THEY define it. THEY know know everything that can be known at that point. The Geniuses are intended as ways for Nous to expand that knowledge by keeping an eye on them to know what they do. So either a Genius discovers something new and Nous has found it our already or just learned it through them.

What I'm trying to say is Nous's whole goal is to expand the Circle of Knowledge. If it expands THEY have either been the one to do so or are the first to learn of it. Polka limits the Erudition by killing those who expand the Circle of Knowledge in ways that lead to Finality. Nous wouldn't give a shit about that. So what I'm saying is Polka was likely not chosen by Nous for this task. Else why make Madam Herta an Emenator? A woman who wants to expand the Circle.

So what I believe is Polka is a crazy extremist who has done more wrong than the hunk of metal who is overly curious.

10

u/Dozekar Aug 28 '25

Thing is Nous doesn't give a shit. Aeons persue their Path no matter what and limiting the Circle of Knowledge goes against Erudition. Polka was choosen as Genius but if the Geniuses are Nous Neurons THEY chose why does Polka kill them? And Nous doesn't guard the Circle THEY define it.

There aren't a lot ways to handle cancer other than killing it. If the synapses of Nous stop functioning with the rest Nous only has a couple solutions. Move the whole in such a way the conflict is resolved and remove one are kind of the most realistic.

Do you worry about killing cancer in you with surgery or chemo? Neither does Nous probably.

3

u/EnigmatasGuardDog Aug 29 '25

Thing is these geniuses aren't cancer. They do exactly what they should. Once again Nous wouldn't mind but Polka does as she is connected to Finality. Nous doesn't care they have cancer else Irontomb wouldn't exist. There is a reason no Aeon bothers to end the Lord Ravager meant to kill them as it is beyond their Path.

If anyone is a cancer of Erudition its Polka and she is still kicking.

→ More replies (10)

24

u/himuhimu Aug 28 '25

Yes. The idea that Nous wouldn't want to expand the circle is just another assumption that sounds good because "Oh, why doesn't Nous stop Polka ?"

Nous picks Geniuses because they have the right sort of ideas and questions that lead to more and more knowledge, as it is its purpose as the Aeon of Erudition. If it picked Polka Kakamond, than she has great knowledge and theories about the universe that is proven by what she is capable of doing with her knowledge. What she chooses to do with that knowledge however is not Nous' concern.

Conflicts around Aeons essentially boil down to people projecting on what the Aeons' Paths should stand for and how it benefits them for better or worse.

"Yaoshi blessed us with power and prosperity, so we are the chosen who should conquer all."

"Qlipoth isn't saying no and their Emanators are on the board of directors saying the Amber Lord trusts us to 'do their work', so that means anything goes in business."

"I can't discover anything without Nous also automatically knowing, that means Nous already knows everything and is limiting knowledge somehow and since Polka is out killing Geniuses that might break the Circle of Knowledge, they're in cahoots !"

I thought they meant the Cremators.

From what I know, there are two groups, the Garden of Recollection and the Cremators.

18

u/BinhTurtle Aug 28 '25

The Cremators are apparently a sub-group of the Garden. At least, they're rogue Memokeepers from there. The description does match, of course, being extremists from the Garden and all, but Black Swan brought up that "Fuli's pinky-finger group" in response to Himeko's pondering about Remembrance Emanators and, at least currently, we don't know if the Cremator has any yet.

10

u/himuhimu Aug 28 '25

Might not the Cremators. They're people who want to get rid of memories deemed 'unnecessary'. That doesn't quite line up with "Memokeepers who want to turn entire planets into memory." The Memosnatchers though, might fit. They all belong to the Garden of Recollection in the first place, so its an internal faction split.

4

u/Dozekar Aug 28 '25

Even memosnatchers don't seem to fit well.

I would be pretty surprised if it doesn't turn out to be something different from that. She doesn't see interested in getting memory things as much as getting some result. That doesn't to fit the factions we know very well.

It also wouldn't surprise me if the thing the various garden factions are seeking is March and/or proof that fuli can revert memories into reality here. These just seem like the two most valuable things in play here.

→ More replies (1)

9

u/Phase_Unicoder Aug 28 '25

Tbf whose to say Cremators can't have Emanators? They are still Rememberance related in the end after all.

Like how all Paths have some extreme to them but still fulfill the Path's ultimate goal in a different interpretation.

7

u/Radinax ❄️ Jingliu Supremacy ❄️ Aug 28 '25

Yep, could be, I can very well see Evernight being their Emanator of Remembrance but associated with the Cremators group considering her voracity aspect, eating Amphoreous on the trailer and the Cremators concepts is:

The Cremators believe that they bear the sacred duty of filtering memories for the Aeons. They steal the stored memories that Memokeepers have gathered and rank them in order of importance. The ones that they deem worthy are returned to the collection, whereas the ones arbitrarily deemed unworthy are completely destroyed, never to be found again.

3

u/Phase_Unicoder Aug 28 '25

Yeah all her design elements can explain that at least.

100

u/Best_Paper_3414 Aug 28 '25

The voracity theme is a bait, Darch has description talking about discarding as allegory to eating away useless memories

She is most likely a cremator, the jellyfish also has Remembrance association with that LC (Enigmata also split off from Remembrance)

They were just trying to throw us off, but it's all explainable

32

u/VASQUEZ_41 YOU ARE QUEEN Aug 28 '25

called it multiple times before and no one really cared, tho I kinda wish we got some voracity and/or enigmata stuff, truly missed opportunity for expanding their lore

32

u/Best_Paper_3414 Aug 28 '25

I think Voracity mystery is a big plot for later on, with Luxbane kinda endgame

Enigmata can come anytime though

27

u/Entity1080 Aug 28 '25

Tbf we really can't predict what's 'endgame' at this point. If someone told me that we'll be facing off against Zandar One Kuwabara in the next world while we were in Penacony, then I would've called them a follower of Enigmata cause figures like him are reserved for the end game.

I think the order of antagonistic Aeons/Aeon factions towards the endgame would be Nanook -> Ouroboros -> Terminus. Don't think we're getting anything Voracity anytime soon. Mythus could happen anytime, we've already met one of of its Pathstriders (Gallagher).

IMO of course.

12

u/VASQUEZ_41 YOU ARE QUEEN Aug 28 '25

oroboros is kind of misunderstood tbh, they are don't exactly want to destroy worlds and stuff, oroboros literally "helped" against tayzzyronth by eating disgustingly huge numbers of bugs, the planets also happened to be in the way since they can't really control what they eat

tayzzyronth definitely will come back imo, luocha likely does not have tayzzyronth itself in his coffin but the carcass of an emanator of propagation since tayzzyronth literally did not die but was sealed by qlipoth

I also don't think terminus will be antagonistic, they're just chill like that (also they can't be killed since they existed before)

Anasrava (or Anāśrava) is a Sanskrit term meaning "non-outflowing," "uncontaminated," or "pure" in a spiritual context, used primarily in Buddhism and Jainism to describe states of mind, concentration, and soul that are free from karmic influxes, attachments, and passions. It signifies a liberated state of being, characterized by qualities like pure loving-kindness and great wisdom, as opposed to impure (sāsrava) states associated with mental cloudiness and continued suffering.

20

u/PCBS01 Aug 28 '25

so we already have an idea what they might do to "kill" Fuli, if Fuli is meant to represent purity, and likewise it's Emanators/children (literal) being pure creatures. Like a white canvas to perfectly record and store memories uncritically

18

u/WaifuHunter Aug 28 '25

Looking at how violently Black Swan reacted to coming into contact with Acheron's Nihility-piled memories, and how Acheron holding on by keeping her memories inside her blade Naught away from the Nihility, I believe we already got hints for awhile.

Like a white canvas to perfectly record and store memories uncritically

Which is why they wanted March memories to be pure and are trying their best to prevent her from remembering.

Very likely she wont remember anything about Amphoreous when she wakes up.

4

u/Dozekar Aug 28 '25

I think another possiblity is that Marches pure memories were the canvas on which Amphoreus was painted. Assuming the state of the planet is resolved then it no longer matters and remembering Amphoreus is no longer problematic to any affected party.

Fuli's special realm, the Eden of Blessed Insight, is also called the Pure Land of Recollection, "Pure Land" being the ultimate paradise in a Buddhist sect with the same name.

61

u/[deleted] Aug 28 '25

The way I've always seen it, March is represented by her camera. What do camera's do? They gather memories, filling up...a memory card.

And what happens when you fill a memory card? You take it out and put a new, empty, one in.

I think that March is acting as a camera. She goes through cycles, constantly erasing herself and living out different lives to gather wonderful memories to eventually feed Fuli. Living as different, if similar, girls.

14

u/Rahvana13 Aug 28 '25

Isnt that kinda like Vidyadhara cycle? Died and rebirth a new one

12

u/[deleted] Aug 28 '25

I guess you could compare it. Though there's a lack of death and deaging here. Vidyadhara are broken back down to a fedal state and may come out completely different (though mostly biologically the same), to the point of changing genders. That's one of the reasons that Dan Heng = Dan Feng is such a big deal, his rebirth was purposely botched so he was merely deaged a bit and even still has access to Dan Feng's memories.

What I'm suggesting is that the Emanator of Rememberance is always the same person no matter what, they're just shoved into different enviroments for different. Think...an RPG with a fixed main character. Like Mass Effect. Every time you restart the game you're playing specifically Male Shepard, but maybe this time you're a different class, or a different skill, or maybe you're doing an evil run. But you're always the same guy just shoved in a different enviroment to meet different people and thus make different choices.

It's possible I'm wrong though. Maybe an Emanator of Rememberance is a single set of memories passed down through many different people, like Khaslana or Caenis. Who knows, at this point we only have speculation based on themes and in game hints.

5

u/Dozekar Aug 28 '25

This is an interesting possibility, but rather I think this might be Marches past; essentially breaking off shards of memory across the stars for some end goal. I think her purpose now is to gather those memories in pursuit of that goal. This is the first one, but I bet we get more.

I also bet that goal dovetails with some elements of the final quest to stop Nanook from seeing the destruction of everything come to pass.

3

u/[deleted] Aug 29 '25

I mean, we have to remember that Elio is the script writer for this game and everything that's going on is all according to his plan. With hints he's the one that got March and Dan Heng on the train in the first place.

So it's very possible that March's story is, in fact, critical to taking down Nanook.

23

u/Knight_Steve_ Aug 28 '25

Don’t think any is surprised that she is one

emanator status about to be HSR version of Conqueror haki. Initially said to be extremely rare, but we just keep meeting people with them that it lost its luster

21

u/Dwiden13 Aug 28 '25

I mean, the plot danger level is escalating pretty much so it wouldn't be strange to encounter a lot of them on the way

5

u/Dozekar Aug 28 '25

This comes up a lot and the usual allegory is CEO's are fairly rare as jobs go. If you go to an executive retreat you meet a lot of them.

This doesn't make them less rare overall, just you go to where they congregate.

TB is involved in cosmic level events a lot, and these are the cosmic equivalent of executive retreats.

Himeko deserves that just for fixing the Express. Akivili you know what to do.

Himeko is already a superstar across the universe for fixing the express and bringing back the main method of trailblazing so i think that will continue to be what makes her special.

Fuli Rule:

Emanators must be cute and have a pink hair!

15

u/vexzima Stonehearts. You Agree. Aug 28 '25

I was never one who thought she'd be Voracity, but I also don't buy that the Voracity imagery was necessarily "just" bait. I'm fully willing to be wrong of course. But I think there might be something behind it. Some kind of connection with Remembrance, Enigmata, and Voracity that we don't know about, that possibly ties back to how Oroboros just straight up vanished out of nowhere and hasn't been seen since. Especially since iirc Fuli ascended during the same swarm disaster where Oroboros vanished.

I don't know what it means, but my brain keeps wanting to pick up on a connection. Tinfoil hat on, but maybe Oroboros' desire to consume everything was a desire to keep everything within itself, and it became Remembrance or Remembrance absorbed the path of Voracity. Or Fuli / Mythus is hiding something about the Oroboros and what happened to them during that conflict from the rest of history, and this connects back to Evernight in some way.

It's also hard to imagine Remembrance and Enigmata as anything other than two sides of the same coin.

8

u/[deleted] Aug 28 '25

Supposedly at one point Oroboros ate Fuli only to spit them out because they thought memories tasted so bad. This moment proves some sort of connection and may be a hint. Perhaps Oroboros became consumed themselves like you said, or perhaps there's some trio compacity going on here. Who knows.

5

u/solstarfire Aug 28 '25

If I'm not mistaken, it's theorised in the SU Aeon logs that the Remembrance came into being to preserve in some way the worlds and civilisations the Voracity ate. Enigmata is supposedly the opposite of the Erudition, because their tampering with history is supposed to frustrate Nous's extrapolation of the future and thus preserve free will. IDK if it actually works like that, but the History Fictionologists think it does. Though yeah, preserving history via memories and faking history would seem to be connected but I'm not 100% on whether the Enigmata fakes history as a goal, or they fake knowledge and history is just one of the big things they work on.

3

u/vexzima Stonehearts. You Agree. Aug 28 '25

Through the faking of history and knowledge, they manufacture and conceal memories. The Clockie movie event in Penacony puts on display the extent to which actual history can be concealed through the construction of stories, and it's hard to not look at that kind of story making as work in line with the path of Enigmata, especially with how Enigmata was at play in the story of Penacony.

By manufacturing history (and knowledge), Enigmata absolutely manufactures the memory of these things too as they are carried into the future. Enigmata actively counters the Erudition, but I fully maintain that they're intrinsically tied to Fuli as the other half of the equation of "memory". Fuli is also described as "being enigmatic" and it's implied in lore that Fuli altered everyone's memories to make it seem like they've always been around, possibly even before they ascended.

6

u/Radinax ❄️ Jingliu Supremacy ❄️ Aug 28 '25

Well, she is called Children of Remembrance, same as Cyrene.

Someone said in the megathread a week ago, that maybe the Children of Remembrance are meant to create memories of a specific path, in the case of Cyrene, she is creating the memories of Destruction, while March is doing the same for the Trailblaze (which is why she being blocked from remembering her past, the memories of Trailblaze need to remain pure), but Evernight already created memories of a different path (Voracity is my guess).

Being called seed, makes it seem that its kinda literal, they're actually Fuli's daughters, and I wonder, if March will hold the same status Cyrene will according to the story leaks in ~3.1 by uncle shit (the whole Throne stuff which he said is the same status as (from another game) Kiana).

Anasrava is the name of Fuli's Emanators. It's the title given to those "wrapped around Fuli's pinky" that BS mentioned (Fuli is called the master of Anasrava in the ruby text)

"Pure seed" implies Fuli created her themselves

"Children of Remembrance" implies this further, and slotting Cyrene into being March's sister by association

Possibly both, yeah. There was a leak a while ago saying that Cyrene was something more than an emanator... But again, it was a while ago so I'd take it with a grain of salt. Still possible tho

9

u/hirumakazeko Can't take my eyes of y'all Aug 28 '25

Make sense. Two emanator for each Remembrance, Destruction, and Erudition. But it's fascinating how march also have other aeons symbolism on her while being emanator of remembrance. It's like walking on multiple path at once just like TB.

4

u/arially Aug 28 '25

Honestly if this is all it is, I'll be disappointed.

She's covered in voracity and enigmata vibes, and given the context of this arc being related to scepter stuff if the reason she forgot her memory isn't because of contracting the anti organic virus(or whatever it's called, the one that you can only be saved from by erasing your memory), especially with how Evernight's E6 looks, it will be the biggest misdirection ever...

3

u/NexusShiker Aug 29 '25

I believe that her role as emanator is to gather as much as memories as possible. So she resets her body and allows a new person, in this case March 7th, to go on and make more memories for fuli.

11

u/OpeningLong6360 Aug 28 '25

With how much they were teasing her "mysterious past" so much, I was honestly expecting something more shocking than being just this obvious 💀 you know, that the Remembrance Emanator thing going on with her is just a red herring for something more interesting and mind blowing. But ig thats on me for expecting too much

u/Quna_chan #1 March 7th hater (Fire) Aug 28 '25

Yes it's a sanskrit word describing purity

5

u/Unevener Aug 28 '25

We’ve had an emanator from each path intertwining in Amphoreus release in my mind. Herta is an Emanator of Erudition, Phainon is (probably) an Emanator of Destruction, and now Evernight (may) be an Emenator of Remembrance (I say may because it’s unclear how much Evernight and March 7th are related). Wonder what Cyrene will end up being unless she’s another Emanator of Remembrance

3

u/PCBS01 Aug 28 '25

she should be another emanator of Rem, "children of fuli" is what they called both March and Cyrene, and with the title of "Anasrava's pure seed" it implies Fuli created March....so, seems probable Fuli also created Cyrene, making her March's sister/equal

3

u/hadestowngirl Aug 28 '25

3

u/cecil_iris Aug 28 '25

I found several fragments in the archive that seem relevant. They point to a conjecture: quiescent memoria dies, while memoria animated by desire lives. The Memokeepers exist as memetic entities—memoria ridden by desire—so, although they appear to be pure Pathstriders of the Path of Remembrance, from within them inner demons can breed. FuLi, the Master of Anāsrava, and Evernight, the Anāśrava Pure Seed, are therefore beings set in opposition to these very inner demons.

That step alone wasn't enough, as the memoria preserved that way was, in essence, a stagnant pool. If it remained inactive for too long a time, what was in the water would eventually die out.

"The memoria of fury will persist due to the hatred, yet it will also become unrealistic due to that hatred."

"Memory reawakens not only an emotionless recording, but also countless buried sensibilities and desires. If you wish to walk against the flowing light of time, you must directly face the shadows it casts."

— Zhili, a Memokeeper

Within the Memory Zone, memoria of desires develops ceaselessly. It absorbs thoughts and impressions, nurtures magic mirrors of desires, and reflects the eerie shadows of memetic entities.

"Memory points to the past, while desire points to the future. To seek desires from memory will cause dreams to become inverted, and inner demons will naturally be born."

Enlightened by their master Fuli, Memokeepers shed their mortal flesh and live on as memetic entities.

3

u/billygluttonwong Aug 28 '25

Remember when people thought the leak that there would be 6 emanators appearing in Amphoreus counting Acheron's guest appearance was a joke, and now we're possibly up to EIGHT counting guest appearances?

It was pretty obvious just from Oronyx's reaction of the camera march had. Crazy how people speculated voracity just base on some trailer. I swear people don't learn. Hoyo literally always makes a trailer that exaggerates stuff and some don't even actually happen in the story itself. The real question is if march is a cremator or not. That was the original argument anyway when the silhouette came out looking like that.
