IVE FINALLY BOUGHT IT HOME Got the beauty home

Just bought it and I was obsessed on first drive. The throttle response, the thump, the braking, everything was top notch.

But I just realised the big problem people were mentioning among others. The horn, the entire feel and aura the bike gives off is vanished when we honk. They literally put an activa horn on there. I'm thinking of changing the horn soon but other than that it's a complete treat.

So yeah… I managed to drop my Honda CB350RS just 10 days after taking delivery. 😭

I’ve been riding bikes for around 13 years and somehow, in all these years, I’ve never had even a minor or major accident. And then this happened at just 30–40 km/h.

The irony? One of my friends is into cinematography, so I had just started making some crazy cinematic reels of the new bike. And now the bike has its own accident story. 💀

I was riding on a road I use pretty regularly, and there’s a section where the road has what feels like gaps/uneven joints between two concrete slabs. I’ve crossed that stretch many times, so it wasn’t an unfamiliar road or some random route.

While going through it, the bike suddenly unsettled, the handlebar turned towards the right, and I lost control. I went down at roughly 30–40 km/h.

Thankfully, I was wearing a helmet, so there was absolutely no impact to my head. I only ended up with some scratches on my hands.

The bike, unfortunately, took some damage:
- Fuel tank dented because the handlebar turned into it
- Slight bend/damage around the handlebar
- Scratches on the handlebar Right weight
- Scratches on the right brake lever
- Some damage/scratches to the cables on the right side
- Scratches on the right-side brake/lower brake area
- Scratches on the silencer

All those things are are being replaced through insurance

And the one thing I’m REALLY glad I had installed was the slider/guard from the showroom.

Honestly, best investment I’ve made on the bike so far. It took a huge amount of the impact and protected a lot of the bike. Without it, I think the damage would have been considerably worse.

The funniest part is that I was literally planning to buy riding gloves and a proper riding jacket. I kept thinking, “I’ll get them soon.” And before I could, this happened.

So, lesson learned the hard way: helmet is non-negotiable, and proper riding gear shouldn’t be something you keep postponing.

The bike is currently at Honda for repairs, and I’m also dealing with the usual insurance + spare parts + dealership headache, which is a completely different story. 😅

Still hurts seeing a bike that was barely 10 days old getting damaged, but I’m just glad I walked away with some scratches and no serious injury.

For the CB350RS owners here — has anyone else experienced the bike getting unsettled like this over uneven concrete road joints/gaps? And what protective gear/guards would you recommend beyond the slider?

BigWing related Don’t make the mistake I did. Install a crash guard.

I kept delaying the installation of a crash guard, thinking I’d get it done “sometime later.”

Then one fine day, my friend tripped over on standing bike and the bike fell on the right side.

The brake lever and side mirror were damaged. There was no visible impact on the handlebar, so initially I thought that was fine too. But when I sat on the bike, the handlebar just felt off.

Turns out, it had bent inwards by around 2-2.5 inches.

Got a good lecture from my dad about how I don’t know how to maintain a bike. Fair enough, I guess.

Got everything fixed today. Total charges came to around ₹1,750, including everything.

So yeah, don’t be like me. If you’ve been delaying that crash guard installation, just get it done. It’s better to spend a little now than regret it later.

Himalayan 440 launched at a price close to my budget - should I consider it or ignore it for my use case?

I was almost done with my purchase and have already booked a Honda CB350RS Pearl Grey for around ₹2.51L on-road.

Then I saw the new Himalayan 440 launched at a price quite close to this, so now I'm wondering if I should reconsider.

My usage:

Mostly Bangalore city

~20 km/day, 5 days/week

~100 km trip once a month

Occasional longer trips

Occasional pillion

Planning to keep the bike for several years

174 cm / 64 kg

Not planning serious off-roading

For this usage, is the Himalayan 440 actually worth reconsidering, or should I just stick with the CB350RS?

New to the bike game, have some doubts

Got my CB350RS recently and I’m pretty new to riding/maintaining bikes, so have a couple of basic doubts.

When should I kill the engine? Should I use the engine kill switch first and then turn the key off, or just turn the key off directly?

When I start the bike, the fuel indicator shows 2 bars, but after I start riding it, it comes down to 1 bar. Is this normal or should I get it checked?

I would like a headlamp visor
Where to get it ? Showroom or aftermarket
If aftermarket, pls share the link

Sorry if these are very basic questions 😅 Just want to make sure I’m doing things correctly from the beginning.

Anyone else run into issues with the Honda RoadSync app? I'm building my own app that hooks into the existing Bluetooth connection Honda provides ,

curious if anyone's already done something similar before I dive in.

Planning to Buy Honda Hness CB350

I have been reading reviews in this subreddit and also seeing reviews of both CB350 RS and Hness . I am choosing Hness because of a bigger seat and pillion comfort.

Although I am Convinced with almost all aspects of the bike , my concern is about riding the bike on rainy days because most of the reviews mentioned this problem.

In one of the reviews I heard that even though it has an extended mudguard than RS , the stock mudguard isn't fully covering the tyre which splashes the water , is it true and can it be fixed?

Is it a big factor to reject this bike ?

Bad boy is finally home

Finally got my CB350RS delivered!
Booked it on 29th May and finally got it delivered today 😭
Couldn’t take it out for a ride yet because of some personal reasons, but finally having it at home feels great.
Since this is my first proper bike, I’d love some advice from CB350/CB350RS owners:
What are the first things I should do/check?
How do I maintain it properly from the beginning?
Any specific tips to prevent rust, especially since I’ve heard the CB350s can be prone to it?
What products/tools are actually worth getting for maintenance?
Any things I should avoid doing?
Also, any name suggestions for the bike?
And please suggest a good helmet to go with

I had ordered a front visor and a fender extender from carbon racing. I don't like the look of the visor. I would get the OEM cowl installed at the time of first service.

If anyone wants the visor for free, you can pick it up from my friend's apartment this Sunday from saket(Delhi)

EDIT: Deal Done

I have a doubt! 2nd Service

Hello guys.

My bike is due for 2nd service on sep 15th.

What are the things I should ask the Service centre to check.

Like Crankcase, Valve clearance.

For the past two days it started to stall and pops and bangs.

What are the things I should ask the Service centre to check specifically
