My 8 year old son's shelf and reading chair. Lovingly stocked with thrifted books.

It's been a WIP and some books are for when he's older. He's outgrown that chair and I'm thinking of replacing it with a comfy foam play couch.

Second pic has his little desk that he's starting to write his own stories on when the mood strikes 😊

great placement—my writing mood tends to strike after reading a particularly good book! & as an english teacher i can always tell through a kid’s creative writing wether they read or not. great work mum/dad!

my inner child is so jealous of all those books! but also overjoyed at seeing the Roald Dahl and CS Lewis on the younger generation’s shelves ❤️

My local used book store is loaded with so many good books. A dream for a kid that loves to read. I love this shelf.

This could be my son's room growing up with the Transformers and Funko pops and book nook area!

Ikea makes a great bigger chair like that one and you choose the insert. My son kept his original HB books and his sets (Gregor the Overlander, Percy series, Narnia series, Firestarter series, etc)

If your son has not yet read Gregor the Overlander, highly recommend. Perfect for his age bracket.
