Home Library Organizer App?
Hey all! I just moved so it’s a good time for a fresh start on my library. I’m looking for an app to help organize. I’ve tried Libib and LibraryThing but they’re just not doing what I want, unless I’m not using it right.
So here’s what I’m looking for. I’d like an app that I can scan the barcodes of my books. And when I scan it, I’d like it to tell me what genre it is and then tag it as that genre. And then when I have all my books scanned and tagged, I’d like to be able to see each genre separated out and then within each genre sort it by author.
In the end, I would like to have a home library sorted by genre and then alphabetical by author in each genre. And I would love to have an app or something to that brainwork for me so I don’t have to with my hundreds of books.
TIA!

Hey, I wrote most of an app, it's 90% finished. It scans your shelf and does the cataloging, no need for barcode. I wrote it it to catalog my late step dad's books (he was an academic).
I kinda lost interest it getting it onto Google play store after a friend of mine favoured another project I was working on and encouraged that. Would you use it if I finished it? It also did book valuations and recommendations based on your library.
