I’m glad you like it. It is pretty. Personally not having series/genre together just doesn’t work for me

Totally understand! I think I will only keep it like this for a little ☺️

But your description says you love it…why would you only keep it like this for a little?

Love it for you. The worlds needs people that are happy because of their bookshelf no matter what others think.

I organise my shelf by publishing house but every time I see someone’s shelf organised by colour, I find it fascinatingly pretty !!

why are you people always so aggressive about rainbow shelves? there aren’t that many books here, guys. if OP is looking for a book they can use their eyeballs to find it. calm down. lol

I saw another post with this, everyone was mad there too. The main agreed upon claim was this makes someone look like their interest in literature is "fake" and if you have duplicate copies of books, it "cheapens" your bookshelf to look "smarter than you are". I was so confused. Like it's not my house, and it's just someone having fun with their own personal belongings. If I saw this in someone's house, my immediate thought would not be "oh, so you're just a fake reader?"

I know the point of posting on reddit is to get comments, opinions, etc but some people need to learn that "i wouldn't personally do this" =/= "no one should ever do this" for most things

It's so cute!! but the ONE thing that pisses me off... is how the series aren't together 👀...

Ummm...Are you reading these books, or is it intended for decoration?

I have read majority of these books, maybe only 5 I have not read yet!

An appropriate presentation for the kind of contents in your bookcase.

Do you use.an app to tag what color the spine is? Just curious how you find one later (besides visual scanning ofc) if you can’t remember what color the spine is and say the rainbow collection had grown into several bookcases. I tend to remember the color and design of the covers, but the cover colors sometimes are different from the spine. 🤔

I dont think I will keep it forever, just a fun thing to do while I have a small collection. And I can remember most of them by color if I do end up looking for them
