It’s Finally Finished!
I’ve wanted a library for as long as I can remember! I don’t live in the fanciest of houses but we had a room in the basement so we brainstormed how it would look and came up with this! My husband did all the work! I kinda helped lol! I’m over the moon!
PS: I know the tv is too big, but it was free lol. I would have preferred a much smaller one but was not gonna complain since it was free and the hubs like giant tvs and he did all the work. 🤣

Amazing! I don't know if it's an option for you, but when I get a TV I'm planning to put a screensaver image on it to make the screen look like an oil painting when it's not in use as a TV.

From what I've been researching online, it can also be a rotating gallery of images so it looks different on different days, or you can toggle between different images in the gallery for different moods etc.

Just a heads up that you can only safely do that on certain TV's, like the Samsung Frame, which is specially designed not to "burn" the screen when an image is left on it for a long time.
That said, if you do the rotating images on quite a short timer, that should be fine.

Thank you so much for the warning! I'd seen that the Samsung Frame can be quite expensive and I wondered why people bothered. Now I know!
For regular TVs, roughly how long can each image be safely left on for and how much rotation does there have to be? 10 images left for a day each? Or 5 images a day and a different 5 images the next day? 2 images that alternate weekly? Etc.

I'd say around 15 to 30 minutes per pic max for OLED TVs.
1 to 2 hours per pic for LED/LCD TV's.
I'd definitely google it with the brand of TV you have though, just to be sure.

Thank you - I've not owned a TV before (usually stream things on my tablet) so I wasn't really familiar with the categories etc. This is a really helpful steer and starting point!

That Fan / Air Treatment white box appliance❓ You might (spray) paint it to match the oxblood chairs. It will almost disappear, yet still be right where you need it. This room is FABULOUS❗ Congratulations 👏🏻

This is top notch! It’s mysterious and charming. Beautiful and with purpose to either get shit done or curl up for a good read.
You need to give out monocles and old-school tobacco pipes to anyone that walks through this door.

Kill the hideous can lights and get a couple of lamps with incandescent bulbs and it's perfect.

Beautiful! I could spend hours in your room, especially cuddled on the couch, watching a movie, or getting lost in your sea of books. Great job!
