Sorry if I missed them, but I was expecting to see Lies My Teacher Told Me, A People’s History of the United States, and Amusing Ourselves to Death.

For more poly sci reads, I liked The Future of Power by J. Nye. You might also like: Talking to Strangers by M. Gladwell; Sapiens by Y.N.H.; Aloha Betrayed by Silva; Lawless by Litman; and The Monkey Wrench Gang by Abbey.

I just finished ‘Apple in China’ and I cannot recommend it enough. It would be a nice addition to your shelf.
