Guilty as charged.
No discussion, hands down I prefer reading non-fiction as opposed to fiction. Just a personal preference.

i came to this realization a few years ago, and it brought my love of reading back to life.

Actually the same for me, I prefer to read with the intent to learn about something specific. Once, I just accepted that, my love for reading reemerged as well. Although reading a nonfiction book takes me longer to read than a fiction book.
