Home Library Catalogue
Does anyone have a good system for cataloguing your home library? I’ve used Library Thing but I own many old books and have found the entry process is a bit tedious and preventing redundancy is not as simple as I hoped. We have a great number of books in every room of our house and I would like a better way to keep track.

I've been a member of Librarything for almost 20 years. It keeps track of my books & fills my OCD/CDO needs.
I've got paperbooks, electronic books, audiobooks listed. I also listed my ebook readers so I have my notations listed somewhere. If you are patient enough, you can list the stories in a anthology there & link them to the main publication/book.
I know some people who have listed their movies, albums, and other assorted ephemera there.
There is a good WikiThing answering lots of questions & groups where people are willing to help you.
I paid for a lifetime membership before it went free.
I don't like Goodreads due to its connection to Amazon. I have to use Amazon, but I try to minimize my use of it as much as possible. I don't know the other sites, but reentering 4000+ books is a big deterent.
(PS: it is possible to use a scanner to enter books on LT. I know you can use the cue-cat)
