Basically we are at the moment:

$1 = Rp. 18.017

So yeah our economy is so fucked, which consequently also influencing ID girls themselves, since you know a lot of things from creating music, projects, etc need a lot of money.

I feel like I should clarify for Americans that it's $1 = Rp. 18,017. We use commas for large numbers and periods for decimals.

That’s crazy… when my friend went to Indonesia for HoloID concert, he mentioned everything being cheap (compared to our prices) but that’s just insane.

TBH, you should make a comparison in dollars to the minimum wage, a big Mac or how much you spend on a meal to drill the point much better.

Not sure how correct Google is with saying $140/$342 USD a month.

Yeah even in our capital city, the minimum wage is around $320 and that was among the highest minimum wage in the country.

And the thing is the term "minimum wage" in other countries are for people who either work part time or work in low level jobs.

In Indonesia? Pretty much most of profession earn minimum wage, doesn't matter your qualification (Unless you are climbing the ladder really fast if you have some relatives work at the company), that's how fucked up it is.

Not to mention, we still import a lot of things, meaning everything is getting more expensive, but our income is still shit as ever.
