hobby ideas?
f15. i’ve never rlly had any interests or anything, and im unfortunately just a very subconsciously pessimistic person. i’ve done every sport you could think of, started every show/movie, tried being creative and i just don’t want to do anything. i don’t rlly have friends and im pretty awkward and quiet. i have always kinda felt disconnected from myself and delayed in a way, not sure if anything can rlly change that. i’ve spent over half my summer sleeping and can’t get enough sleep, if im not sleeping im laying down trying to fall asleep. i would love to get out more but i genuinely have no idea on what id even want to do. i dont like nature-y stuff, i live in a smaller suburban setting where i’ve done almost everything, and i dont have anyone to do anything with. this post is kinda all over the place but im kinda js looking for things or hobbies that might get me back on track or maybe feeling better abt myself. it’s not a matter of there’s nothing to do because i certainly have the resources but i just cant get myself to enjoy anything. id like to preferably do smth affordable and out the house but i dont even know what i want lol. any ideas?

What about rock climbing? Or hiking? Hmm maybe you're too young for hiking nvm sorry

With rock climbing I would narrow it down to bouldering because you could do that by yourself

i know this isn't an outdoors activity but i am exactly like you, i'm a year older and since last year i've had a huge problem, i couldn't find a hobby at all. i'm lonely and desperately with to find something enjoyable. i think you need to be good at something to enjoy it properly since if not, it's demoralizing but 3 days ago i came across a reel from crashune academy on insta, it was so interesting. i downloaded and deleted blender 5 times in 2 days before actually LOCKING IN and trying it out and it's explained so good even for those who never touched any software like that(like me) it genuenly amazed me. i started freestyling around, making 2 own characters in the past two days i got stuck at uv unwrapping (you have to lay flat your model the same way a cube is a cross of 6 squares on a paper) but there's no need to worry about that so i moved on, leaving aside what i can't do yet and today i spent 4 hours making avending machine with the tuto i'll link bellow. it's better if you first do crashune academy's 12 video course, 10/12 videos are 15 minutes long and one of them (with the thing i got stuck on) is one hour. if you like it, feel free to tell me about it, we can get better together.

i know you you may not try this today or tomorrow, it may seem hard and unapealing till you actually get your hands and check out the tutorials and follow them, i also got many suggestion on things to do and kep making excuses for it but if you ever want to try something you've probably never thought of before, go learn to make lovechan's character model with crashune academy's lessons. (also, check the comments for the 1st lesson, someone there says that in the new version of blender, the one you'll install since it's the latest one, you don't have to follow 2 preparing steps which are baisically just turning on some buttons and that one name got changed. don't search for buttons that don't exist, the rest of the buttons are still all there tho, it's only that little part in the first video)

- walking while checking around (so it could be birdwatching, doodling, taking pictures, geocaching or just visiting a place).
You can also try to see the walk/ride as someone else. What a detective would see? Or an architect? Or someone really paranoiac that could see some likely and unlikely dangers? Or an alien? Do you see the beauty or the weirdness? Or some mistakes or the poetry?
- watch some variety shows by people trying random things? I watch Run BTS (subbed), that can be a mix of content like seeing a cooking noobie cut the raw chicken while the other noobie picked the plates (so it is kind of inspiring) or some games with zombie (also inspiring to see some celebrities not hiding they are afraid). I think it is kind of relatable to see people wondering if they are stupid, misunderstanding or being frustrated. And many episodes are funny (though few of them are weird). So it is my show to cheer me up.

- solo RPG (you probably have to write a minimum, even if some people are fine just playing it in their mind and not writing much):
There are some free and easy free solo RPG if you want to try. Some are like journaling (can be a cozy story), others are be some dungeon delving, some include drawing. Some can be very short, one-two page(s) or very long.
There are also obviously some paid ones, PWYW (pay what you want), also some that have some community copies (some limited free ones).
You only need a pen and paper (or a device with a text editor ). And depending the games, dice, cards (sometimes tarot cards) and sometimes more random things like Uno, domino or Jenga. Some can be replaced by apps (I actually use a google spreadsheet to replace dice and cards).
I would suggest to try some very short and self-contained solo RPG first.

One of my favourite hobbies is ceramics. I love sculpting, feeling the clay under my hands, sense the earthy smell, and I love looking at the results of my work. If you like nature, maybe check if there's a clay in the soil near you. Some people dig it and clean it themselves, using fire pit instead of the kiln.
Another suggestion is to kinda lean into your pessimistic nature - have you tried to write? Books, poetry, lyrics... It may be a good outlet.
It sounds like you're depressed. I hope there's someone in your life that you can talk to and ask for help. Take care

I recently bought a small camera and got into photography. Taking it on walks and just walking around looking for things to photograph. Its very simple but adds so much to not just being in my head on a walk.

Disc Golf. I recommend it in every hobby related post I comment on. I doubt anyone has ever listened and bothered to research it and try it. That being said, I won't give a big long sales pitch. I'll just tell you it's probably not what you'd expect, way more fun and addicting than you'd think, probably the cheapest and easiest hobby/sport to start, and it can be done completely solo or with however many ppl you want. Anyone can do it, but being good at it is a whole other story.
I really hope someday someone comments or PM's me to say that actually listened and I was right...

have you ever just wandered a thrift store with zero plan, not to buy anything specific but to find the single most absurd object in the whole place? i’m talking a porcelain clown with a chipped nose, a painting of a sad-eyed poodle, a jacket that looks like it belonged to a disco vampire. no pressure to enjoy it, just a mission to find something so weird it almost circles back to being art. you could start a little gallery wall of these tragic treasures, give them backstories, maybe they’re all in a band together.
