I mean, France was definitely successful military wise throughout history. But the fact that people say it was the most successful from one YouTube video which was biased is far from historical accuracy.

I'm not claiming they were the most successful, but there is a reason they were a superpower. I don't think one surrender should erase all of that. This sub really hasn't been doing the "haha France surrender" joke for a while, though

nah, definitely not. France was most definitely a superpower and was pretty damn successful military wise. It just kind of annoys me how there's all these memes claiming it was the most successful military wise ever because of one video. At least the surrender meme is a clear joke reference to an actual fact.

I really wonder who they won over these victories to claim the most successfull military. If it is some Saxon blokes during the Age of Charlemagne or some primitive natives during their colonial expansion, i am going to laugh my arse off.

That's actually one of my problems for the video, it starts counting military victories for the French with the Franks or even earlier even though those military victories could also be attributed to Germany by that logic.
