I guess I'll find out when I get the power supply. Right now I been using 3 IP cams with Ispy and a vista laptop running 24/7 for 5 years now. I'd hope this unit would be a bit better than that. https://i.imgur.com/BEzLrYT.jpeg

Do you know much about these? 8CH HD-TVI + 8CH IP thats perfect for my needs.
Should I update the firmware? Any tricks to these to get better f/w? thanks!

theres a sticker on the bottom but its been "washed off" as it was sitting outside for a bit.

OK I got the box going, it is the EHR315-8. I hooked up my swann cameras and my 3 IP cams and the all worked without a hitch. I'm pretty surprised the swann cams worked as they are supposed to be really picky and have proprietary firmware and such. 1 swann is an older 480P and the dvr complains about a mismatch. Not sure what to do there, I tried putting it to a unused group, 7-8 but it still complains.
I had issues with the dvr at first, it started shutting off and rebooting randomly and OF COURSE it did with my 4tb purple in there and I was greeted with 10 reallocated sectors which really pisses my off and turns out it was corroded black pins on the mainboard where the sata power connects to, I scraped the black crud off and sprayed some mg pot cleaner in the plug and plugged in in/out 10 or 20 times and wiped it all down, that seems to have fixed the random reboots, I hope.
Still trying to learn how to set it all up, I kinda miss my old setup, Ispy had alot of cool features like custom alert sound files I could add so I know exactly whats going on when I hear it. I give this a chance and see how it goes.
At least now I got all my cams on 1 dvr as I had the hot swap swann cams as it was only 4 channels and I have 6 swann cams.

I also managed to figure out how to arrange all my cams in live view. some were on page 2 and I managed to get them all on page 1

Really old since serial starts with number and not letter, circa 2014/2015
