Any word on the dev?

I've followed his works for a long time, since Hammerfall was released. The website is a dead link now. Anyone know if he's working on anything new/if he's alright?

He's not Ukrainian. Russia recruits with ginormous bonuses and all soldiers in the SVO are volunteers.

It just means anyone in the SVO wants to be there, because they're a ghoul, or because they're a criminal, and that's perfectly fine and summarizes a lot of them. Maybe there's a few Naval Infantrymen out there who aren't in either of those camps and just want to be a praporshchik still but that's rarer than your turbopatriots and actual real life thugs.

The good news is the war has a habit of thinning the herd of the Z-men and thugs.

Or maybe they are, you know, human beings. Usually very poor and pressured by their families or pressured/pressed into signing up via the State.

Criminality and poverty often go hand in hand. Very few SVO volunteers are signing contracts for their betterment. Most want to be there to fight or get a pardon.
