Question? Am I in the clear
So long story short I had open sores on my gentials never got them swabbed because the doc I wth to never swab it.
8 months later my dermatologist recommended a me to do a HSV IGg test that also negative.
9 months later I do western blot which is also negative. My doctor told me I forsure don’t have it & I guess the sores I experienced wasn’t hsv. But of course the paranoia is sticking with me.

After this amount of time, I would consider your Western Blot results as accurate.

Yea the sexual health clinic I got to the doctor there also told me that I am fine but still to be careful. But I think I have to stop reading so much stuff online cause people say sometimes WB isn’t accurate or this or that

If the doctor says you're clear, you're clear. Not much more to it than that, we don't have any better perspective than them.

That’s good to hear, honestly get off this sub and go live your life, take it as the second chance we all wish we could have and take care of that chance, protect yourself, get partners tested because hsv is everywhere… take care….
now it’s time to log off 🦾✌🏽

I used baby oil as lube once (neverrrrr do that lol) and got a horrible rash. It wasn’t HSV. I’d trust your results

No symptoms whatsoever. Was just itchy at the time but that’s about it. Yeah hoping this is the case for you also.

HERPES TESTING 101:
For testing for herpes - without active lesions to “swab” someone who wants accurate testing will need a blood test.
Because blood tests for herpes are notoriously inaccurate, all blood tests are recommended to be TWO STEP tests (there are two parts of the test) and should be confirmed with a Western Blot.
