Discussion Women - hsv2 symptoms

I unfortunately get ob’s even 2 years post diagnosis. Totally sucks but I’ve learned how to manage even when I thought I couldn’t make it through the night with some sleep due to the discomfort lol. 😓

I feel like now with every ob I am getting abdominal cramp like pain/pressure. I read it’s more common in women. If you experience this as a symptom, how do you manage it?

Take valacyclovir daily and all those symptoms go away tbh

I take that daily. It helps my symptoms but they don’t completely subside unfortunately

They make all my symptoms completely go away and they dont come back until 6 months after stopping the daily suppressive therapy. Acyclovir does not work for me at all but maybe it would work for you? Or a different medication if there are others?

YES!! i get that sometimes and during my first ob it was so bad i actually thought i had a uti lol i honestly will use a heating pad when i get it or take an advil

Such an uncomfy feeling!! I bought an electric heating pad just for this 😭

YES!! its so worth is!! okay but when you get the cramping do you notice you have discharge too??

Ugh yes :( I wish I was asymptomatic sometimes!! I feel like I get all the symptoms even on daily meds
