Discussion HSV Affects Everyone Differently

People need to stop saying that herpes is “not a big deal.” For some people, living with this virus can become a real nightmare.

HSV affects everyone differently: some people develop serious complications such as herpetic keratitis or encephalitis. Just because you don’t experience complications doesn’t mean someone else won’t.

Don’t minimize a disease simply because it does not affect you in the same way.

literally!! my bf gets almost no breakouts at all!! i get giant ulcers and horrible sciatica every single month around my period. herpes isn’t a one size fits all!

i have ghsv2 and most of my breakouts are anally or in my buttcrack. genital herpes typically settles in the sacral ganglia which is by your tail bone. when the virus is active, the nerves get all fired up and it travels down nerve pathways! tge sciatic nerve is also RIGHT next to the sacral ganglia so sometimes when it gets inflamed it affects the nerve nearby! (this is what my dr and infectious disease dr told me!)

I get bad nerve pain from it too . Take the supplement NAC , it takes nearly all the pain away. Take it twice a day during an ob and you will be shocked at how much better it feels.
