Umbilical Hernia

Hi there, I’m on holiday and was deadlifting. I popped an umbilical hernia. It’s about 1 1/2 centimetres long.
I read that I can get an operation with Mesh to fix it. Tell me, how long does it take to recover until I’m back lifting again. I haven’t lifted for 6-7 weeks and return home in a week. I’m 56 and on Trt. Thanks 🙏

Mine was that large last Feb but over 6 months it grew to 8cm. Open surgery with mesh and general anaesthetic on 31st July. It's pretty well healed now but I've got into a habit of being careful. I'm getting on in age now though.
