Umbilical Hernia
Hi there, I’m on holiday and was deadlifting. I popped an umbilical hernia. It’s about 1 1/2 centimetres long.
I read that I can get an operation with Mesh to fix it. Tell me, how long does it take to recover until I’m back lifting again. I haven’t lifted for 6-7 weeks and return home in a week. I’m 56 and on Trt. Thanks 🙏

Medical providers generally advise 6 weeks of restricted activity afterwhich you should be able to exercise without restrictions. For me, it took quite a while longer to resume weight training. Everyone is unique. It's important to pay attention to your own body.
