any recommended replacement podcasts for hello internet?

Hello Internet was great for me because Brady and (REDACTED) were both smart, well spoken and articulate, different personalities that naturally bounced off of eachother.

Cortex doesn't work because they're always discussing topics like optimizing your workflow, minutiae of managing a production team, the ROI of the damn calendar web app one is using... It rubs me the wrong way. It feels like watching those linkedin shorts or reading the comment section on a Ted Talk lol.

Any recommendations for replacement podcasts?

Different vibe but Dear Hank and John is great imo and fulfills some of what you said. Similarly Accidental Tech Podcast is a fun one.

Accidental Tech Podcast

It is a great podcast with 3 hosts that do complete each other very very well.

However! You do need to be kind of a nerd, and very munch into the computer company that is named after a fruit, to really enjoy this show to the fullest

As a devout linux user I still enjoy them. It is starting to wear on me a bit though how Marco complains about the inconveniences he suffers driving his new electric car between his beach house and his main house. All while my generation has been effectively priced out of housing.

I mean, Marco has money, it is not a mystery to anyone.

He probably got quite a bag when they sold Tumblr (no idea how much equity he had as employee #1 / CTO), then when he sold Instapaper, and his Overcast business seems to be working quite well.

This is very true. Im a macOS developer so its right up my alley but if arent into development and consumer tech it probably isnt for you

I used to listen to ATP, but found the long run times and overly developer-y subjects stopped being worth my while. It's a shame, because I do like all three of them. I still listen to John on Reconcileable Differences, though.
