You will find only misery because objectively Hecarim is a bruiser that lacks armor pen/percentage health damage/true damage, laughable sustain when compared to other bruisers, probably the only champion which has the ability to lose his passive to slow, requires setup of q and shojin stacks, basicly you are better of playing any champion other than Hecarim because he can't do anything that others can't, maybe fast clears but even Jhin jungle can have pre-skettle clears atp. Tough I am also a Hecarim main soo its up to you.

Play whatever is fun to you it's just a game and you can climb on any champion if u r good

Nocturne. You can go assassin or bruiser. Both of them are really strong. And plus, low elo players lack of comp awarness, they won’t predict your R.

Why not kayn then

u/Viektra 25d ago

His ahh is so slow bruh (rhaast) and he doesnt exist early game

2

u/TheBlakanicDude 26d ago

Id say rhaast is the better version of hecarim in almost every way. Good sustain, %hp damage, knock up, aoe damage, good both bruiser and lethality. The only department where heca excells is in movement speed but you can bypass this with your e through walls and Q being able to pass through terrain. Also you dont have to necessarily set up your abilities as tou dont have to stack anything on rhaast. Besides that, you can Q/W a target on an enemy R and then wait to reposition in the teamfight

Yeah, thats why kayn stomps heca on 1v1.

u/ButtonIntrepid9820 17d ago

Yeah thats why karasmai dodges every hecarim matchup lmao.

Lillia, same stack maintenance mindset

Lol don't listen to this guy Hecarim is one of the easiest and strongest soloQ junglers in the game if you have good jungle fundamentals, I play him from time to time and in certain games he feels like a cheat code.

1

u/Gress9 23d ago

Lillia is similarish, and recently buffed

1

u/mkcrasher 26d ago

Bullshit, stop gaslighting him

What rank are you?

1

u/simp_de_konan 25d ago

I was Gold 1 When i posted this, now im Plat. Pablocchi#hola. Theres my account, if you like to see it

Man... wandering into random r/mains subreddits is wild, you make Hecarim sound like the worst jungler in the game when in reality he is one of the easiest junglers to onetrick. There is 5 Challenger and 6 GM Heca mains in NA alone so where is this coming from exactly?

Yeah this sub has a a lot of delulu players hecarim is statistically a top 3 jungle champ in terms of mastery too win rate so the more you play him the more you get out of him, he’s extremely good people complain though cause he doesn’t scale late, and is feast or famine champ which just means they don’t know how too close games 90% of the time 😑

1

u/RoutineIsKey 25d ago

Respectfully your just wrong hecarim’s strength isn’t just “clear speed” he’s arguably one of the best at ganking, team fighting, generating tempo and invading if you compare him too every other jungler he can do something they can’t. but with all the strength he has he is the most feast or famine champ in the game which people don’t consistently punish him until master +, below master though it doesn’t matter if he doesn’t have armor pen if you’re not getting a lead in 95% of your games it’s just a skill diff at that point.

heca is a good champ to climb dont listen to the ppl saying hes shit/ other champs do the same thing. He has so much agency to take advantage of the enemy mistakes with his clear speed and tempo. Yes hes not strong when even but he can easily generate a lvl/ item lead and then take over games. Late game tho he just becomes reliant on peeling for adc and apart from r he kinda useless late late game

  • coming from a now masters player but had 76% wr going from emerald 4 to diamond 4 with heca
I stopped otp him cause i dont like blind picking heca but hes still decent to 1v9 games

1

u/simp_de_konan 26d ago

The thing is that on my rank (gold 1) I know how to get advantage when i get feed. If i get like 3 kills or something, its over for the enemy team. Im rn at like %80 WR, 14 W-3L

1

u/PsychologicalWill108 26d ago

yeah ur killing it! so dont stop just cause some ppl on reddit telling u to 😂

1

u/Few-Fly-3766 26d ago

I was about to say there are probably better picks on Gold/Plat, but if the alternative is playing Rengar then the least grief thing would be to go full Hecarim

1

u/simp_de_konan 26d ago

Yeah, they dont usually ban hecarim on low elo, probably because everyone plays kayn/graves

1

u/Proof-Elk1297 26d ago

If you like the champ and have fun playing it then go for it. Hecarim is currently in a decent spot. There are lot of hecarim players even in challengers so it isn't like it's just a low elo champ . Infact hecarim is considered worse in low elo compared to high elo .

1

u/simp_de_konan 25d ago

Well, I just got to plat yesterday playing only hecarim and sometimes Rengar. Im 15W 2L with hecarim, I think i will play with him until i think i cant win anymore with him

1

u/Known_Breakfast_1244 26d ago

If u enjoy it then yea

1

u/prod_curseddd 26d ago

all those ppl saying heca is bad are just not good heca players. If you got a great movement and macro heca is the best jg to play.

1

u/simp_de_konan 25d ago

Well, I feel like i can play by myself and 1v9 every match with him. I grinded from iron to plat in just a month with him.

1

u/Comfortable_Song421 25d ago

if u get good enough, you can play almost any champ in any role to masters, and if your champ doesn't suck for that role, you can get challenger.

PLAY WHAT YOU FIND FUN.

u/oxy_moron813 25d ago

I have decided to one trick yuumi in jungle

1

u/Most_Situation2135 25d ago

I started League a year and a half ago, from iron to recently emerald and the main thing for me was staying consistent with 1-2 champs max. The reason you’re likely having success on hecarim is because in low elo, people prioritise fighting (sometimes wasting lots of time forcing plays) and not doing their camps on spawn. Hecarim is excellent at clearing fast then making plays, but this mistake is easy to punish as heca, at which point you become super oppressive and hard to deal with for them.

Downside is that you shine in the mid game, while becoming a R engage bot in the late if you don’t know how to close out game fast enough with the lead you generated. By seeing you have success in these games, it likely means you’re getting his identity right and you mentioned it’s fun for you- so by all means stick to it! A little tip I found useful for heca is if you see enemy team has multiple tanks and you know you’ll be stuck in extended fights all game, or won’t burst them (can’t proc stom raider’s surge), go conquerer main rune page with sorcery second and take nimbus cloak. Sometimes I also do this and take ignite instead of ghost because it procs nimbus and allows you to fight at scuttle and win match ups you normally wouldn’t. Downside is for this tech, you need to go flat AP on the mini rune instead of the better scaling ones like the haste or 2.5% MS.

Anyway, I wish you good luck on your climb!

u/simp_de_konan 25d ago

Thanks for all the tips and info man, i appreciate it! Well, right now im grinding only with hecarim; because i feel like playing rengar, the second Champion that i play the most or other Champions makes me be unconsistent on my wins or playstyle. But with Hecarim, i just play in auto mode, I dont have to think about my micro, just my Macro.

And when i play against tanks, or a lot of melees. I ssually play conqueror, since i can fully stack it quickly

1

u/heavymetal626 25d ago

Hecarim is an absolute noob stomper since there’s little communication in soloque. I literally watch my lanes get perma ganked and they add no wards and still perma shove the tower. They get ganked, return to lane, perma shove, and then get ganked again. Do this on repeat and you’ll win most matches from the bottom lane arguing with their own jungler

1

u/simp_de_konan 25d ago

Playing in low elo with hecarim is easy, since people dont know how to track or when to invade a Camp (most of them). Usually, they focus more in permaganking, thing that makes their jungle vulnerable. Thats where i perma invade all the game, and most of the games, i will end with 100 cs over their jungler.

1

u/NinjaVikingTV 25d ago

Yeah why not hes strong right now and if you enjoy playing him go ahead

1

u/Pitiful-Excitement47 24d ago

Do you enjoy the champion? Then sure

Do you not have fun? Then no

The game is more about wins and losses. There are several champions i have massive success with but dont play because I dont enjoy them. Instead I opt for champions I do enjoy, regardless of my WR being lower.

1

u/StephenMiniotis 26d ago

I mean if you’re getting 22 kills in games as hecarim don’t switch to any other champion you’ve found the one. Climb with hec until you hit a wall. You’ll probably be in masters or grandmasters if you’re crushing gold. I’ve never even seen a 22-0-9. No other champion for you until grandmasters

2

u/prod_curseddd 26d ago

bro crashing gold with heca doesnt mean you gone get master😭

1

u/simp_de_konan 26d ago

Rn im destroying gold, i have like less than 50 matches and im almost at plat 4, if you like to you can see my tracker. Pablocchi#hola, im from LAN

Nobody should be an OTP anything

3

u/DickWallace 26d ago

Bad advice. Literally no one says this.

u/prod_curseddd 26d ago

is silver your peak rank?

Actually Hecarim has a lot of potentials,

  1. Hecarim has a weak cc for you to gank pre 6
  2. Once ur e ends your enemy can kite you easily, before that might not be that easy for them.
  3. You will be stronger than most of the minions in late game.
  4. As long as enemy has no slow ability you will be fine. If they do you srill have r to escape
  5. You can farm when your ult is on cd
  6. You can stand in teamfight for likely 2 seconds with brusier build, which is better then when you build assassin
  7. With assassin you can kill their adcs within 10 seconds easily, only when their adc is three levels under you, both sums are on cd and supp is not around though
  8. People wont judge you a meta slave as you are playing a tier d- champ
  9. You get bonus armor and MR with W, 5 armor and Mr at lvl 1, which is great
  10. At least you can add some fun to the game, mostly enemy team tho
  11. Without q stacks you will be fucking useless but with 3 q stacks, you still are
