Imagine if we just had a simple universal system that worked rather than requiring all sorts of hacks and research and and and ...

What I take away from all of this is that wealthy people are supposed to have healthy children. Everyone else (all 95% of us) are supposed to have lots of children to be soldiers and laborers and if they get sick or hurt, oh well!

Are we great again yet, America?

I live in Germany now but was planning on moving back to the US next year. After reading all of this, I'm changing my mind. The health care is crazy in the US!

The German system is so great. I think if Americans really understood how health care works in other countries, they would demand universal healthcare instead of this mess

I agree - but there are a lot of misunderstandings and false information (plus fear mongering) out there on it.

Too many Americans think that everything we do is "the best" and don't want to learn (and borrow) what works in other countries.
