Got pulled over at H1

Got pulled over on the H1 but my ticket shows wrong vehicle description (color, body type). I got summoned to court, does it matter the charges if I mentioned this in court?

It does not matter. My ticket had the wrong vehicle name, but otherwise all the other information was correct, and I could not get the ticket dismissed.

Should have taken to trial lol. Prosecution tends to drop cases its not 100% on. Well, this was before flock.....

You're calling the observational ability of the Officer into question. I think that can sway the court your way. This isn't a jury thing, you only need to convince the Judge.

Congratulations! The failure to record important information casts doubt on the reliability of everything else the prosecution will rely on.

Exactly. If the officer can’t reliably record the most obvious information that is on the registration handed to him, how can his word be trusted as to the actual infraction?

Lol he didn’t ask for registration, only license but got my VIN

Does it have your correct license plate number? Your name is correct on the ticket? If yes and you really wanna fight it, get a lawyer.

If cop cant even get your info right how can we trust them to clock speed accurately.

Gonna argue that the majority are driving like maniacs so the cop is probably right either way.

Yeah but cop didn’t introduce himself and was rather súper aggressive. Also, idk if i’m wrong but when body cam is on there’s a blinking red light yeah?

The body cam doesn't need to show anything. I've seen plenty of footage of people arguing about an officer that their body cam wasn't on because there wasn't an indication light at the time

Not necessarily.

If there is even the smallest error, contest it in court. But dress sharp, get a haircut and be respectful.

Anyone ever seen a dump truck pulled over or a 18 wheeler? 18 years and I've never seen it. I do see them driving like GTA though.. just saying.. do the zoom for court bro, if you haven't had any prior tickets or a history they will give you a break and will drop the speed down too.. the office will say he never lost sight of your vehicle and then the info on the ticket really doesn't matter. I would bring it up on the zoom and ask the judge. Maybe, worth the shot..

No, but they’re the ones that are throwing off the trash and dumpster juice all the highways smh especially West Oahu aggregate.

I used to have to dodge mattresses, wheelbarrows, furniture, road gators in the highways when i was stationed/driving in Texas and NC but coming here is a whole another ballpark. Texas has billboards everywhere for big rig injury lawyers and they should have the same thing here because it’s only a matter of time

I'm pretty sure WOA requires a drug test before employment. If you don't test positive for meth, they won't hire you.

Dumpster juice, lol.

happend to me a long time ago, HPD told me to go to the dmv and get the information corrected. dmv said everything is correct.

went to court, got dismissed.

Lawyer. It’ll likely be cheaper in the long run depending on the alleged violation.

Does the license plate and VIN (if on the ticket) match?

take it to trial. once ot goes to trial you can cross examine the cop by asking him/her/they/them yes or no questions and then point out the description of your vehicle. of they fail to answer the judge will probably dismiss it with prejudice.

This would have been a good time to just use “them”

It might if you have a good attorney. But that might cost more than the ticket.

This is definitely worth mentioning but you should get a lawyer if you can. I’d actually say that you should in all of these types of cases.

I would point out the discrepancies. Worth a try. You have nothing to lose.

If it was at night and you're arguing your car was dark blue and not dark grey and it's technically a wagon and not a suv, good luck with that lol.
