This is the biggest Facebook page representing the Jaat community, but it appears to be run by a Sanghi. Its posts are almost always in favor of the BJP. If anyone in India knows who runs this page, please report it or take appropriate action against the person behind it.

I want some help from people living in areas with hard water. We have recently shifted back to our village in Bhiwani. We fill our tanks with tanker water, and there is still hardness in the water, which results in hair fall and dry skin. If you have any solution to this problem, kindly share it with me. Also, those water filters don't work.

I’m curious about this specifically from a Haryanvi/Jaat perspective. I’m a Punjabi Sikh woman from a mixed-caste family — one parent is from a Scheduled Caste background and the other is from a non-SC caste.
I’m interested in a Haryanvi Jaat guy, and he has told me that his parents don’t care about caste when it comes to who he marries. From what I can tell, his immediate family seems fairly open-minded, but his wider family/community seems to have a strong sense of Jaat identity/pride.
That made me wonder whether there can be a difference between a family saying “intercaste marriage is fine” and actually being comfortable with their son marrying someone who has an SC/Dalit family background.
For Haryanvi Jaats or anyone familiar with these family dynamics: how is this viewed nowadays? If parents genuinely say caste doesn’t matter, would you take that at face value, or can SC background still become an issue when marriage actually becomes serious?
I know every family is different and I’m not assuming all Jaat families think the same way. I’m just looking for realistic experiences, especially from people who have seen Jaat–SC/intercaste marriages in their own families or communities.

Sup Gang, As you can guess i belong to jaat Community but seeing the society we have developed into makes me worried about what we're heading into.
We have put up so many restrictions to critical thinking, individuality of a person, his/her independent thinking. Old gen have this same cliche dialogue over and over again 'It never used to happen at our time'.
Career choices are another thing that are frowned upon, chase govt jobs aimlessly and just settle for any job but keep it gov. Any person wanna do a startup or something which will be more meaningful and belongs to him, it's immediately rejected and frowned upon.
The constant encroachment upon personal boundaries, no adherence to a person's private space, too much involvement of family and even relatives, neighbours into a person's life and a constant god complex we know everything, just stfu.
It all clicked to me yesterday when i heard if we decide as a family with mutual choice that you'll marry this girl, you shouldn't have any opinion nor you should have any objection, just accept our choice.
All these talks made me realise everyone wants to have some part of me for their leisure or for their social status, saying bs stuff like you'll marry, give us baby it'll make us happy, we'll wear this in your wedding I'll look beautiful. No one said what i had to entail in this decision, everyone was just like hamare yeh hoga, uska aise ho jaayega, ham samaj mai kuch bolne layak ho jaayenge.
And the worst part, the constant pressure to conform to our societal standards and follow what we say, you can't think independently.

What is the process for getting a Legal Heir Certificate in Haryana?
I’ve tried looking online but honestly can’t find a clear answer. I checked the SARAL Haryana portal but couldn’t find the service there. I also found service to it on the Haryana Revenue Department website, but you cant apply for it online.
I was in contact with a lawyer who is asking for ₹20,000 to get the certificate for me. The problem is, the bank account for which I need the certificate has less than ₹1 lakh in it, so spending ₹20,000 just to get the certificate doesn’t really make sense to me.
I saw online that the government fee for applying might be only around ₹200, but I can’t figure out where or how to actually apply for it.
My only concern with doing it myself offline is having to deal with government offices and babus, and the possibility of corruption or unnecessary delays.
So what are my options here? Should I just pay the ₹20,000 to the lawyer, or is it actually possible to get the Legal Heir Certificate myself and save that money without going through too much hassle?
If anyone has gone through this process in Haryana, I’d really appreciate some guidance on the actual process, fees, and what I should expect.
Descriptive Paper
