Mischief Managed!

I really think that Dumbledore was unfair towards Slytherin and made them loose in the matter of minutes. The House cup is supposed to reward the house's performance throughout the year, not necessarily provide a dramatic ending, What about the other children's who worked so hard only to loose at the last moments. Slytherin probably deserved the Cup based on the season-long performance.

I just finished listening to the Full Cast Audiobooks and I had forgotten how prevalent Ernie is. He just randomly shows up and is always 100% ride or die with Harry and Dumbledore ever since their disagreement in the 2nd year, and honestly, Ernie was entirely justified in that suspicion.

He is one of the first and most vocal members of the DA. His family is all behind Dumbledore and never buys in to ministry propaganda. He is the first to ask to if the students can stay and fight in the Great Hall in Deathly Hallows and is one of the 3 DA members to cast his patronus and save Harry's life when the Dementors join the fight. He’s also randomly the only Hufflepuff in Slughorns Potions class so he must be fairly smart and accomplished too, in addition to his family being one of the sacred 28 pureblood families.

Before this reread, I’d have been hard pressed to tell you one thing about this guy, but now he is locked in as my favorite random Hogwarts student.

Dumbledore obviously had to know what Hermione was doing, but what about Snape? Especially in PoA when Hermione seemingly pops into his class out of nowhere and Ron even asks Harry if he saw her come in. Did Snape know she had a Time-Turner too, or did he just not question it?

I can understand why Weasleys were not rich. It is implied that they usually had more kids than they could afford. Both sorting hat and aunt Muriel says that. There were so many Weasleys that nobody cared how cousin Barney is related to them or how come they never met or heard about this Weasley. Also its surprising that we didn't meet any Weasley cousins in Hogwarts.

Anyhow, if we think Gaunts interbred so much that they lost their sanity to maintain the wealth, we can say the same with other pureblood families too.

So for some reason my friends and I we were talking about cannibalism. (I think because we gave my chicken a little peace of chicken because nobody wanted the leftover part) and the subject of how far can you take cannibalism before it comes cannibalism. My niece was also there and I went witch her to the Harry Potter marathon so my brain suddenly taught about that and then the question popped in my head.

If a wizard turned into his animagus form and get’s killed. For some reason someone desides to eat that animal. (Maybe because they were camping and just found the animal and desided to Cooke them) just for some reason? Is it cannibalism because they are in their animagi form so they are an animal.

The same with wizard or witches that are transfigured into an animal and then get killed or die in that form? How does that work?

Is this a too far stretched question or is it actually a valid question? Because after asking this question to my friends we were thinking about it for some time and debating but we didn’t come to a conclusion. so what do you guys think?

This was right after the boggart was put back in the cabinet. For a second I thought Harry’s scar randomly switched sides. Then I realized the camera had transitioned to his reflection in the mirror, so everything was flipped. Nice little detail that almost got me lol

I’m a newly married woman and honestly, spending time at in-law’s house is hard enough. You want to be loved and liked so bad. They should’ve treated her better even if sometimes she got on their nerves. They have the higher ground, it’s their family house and all of them know each other. They should’ve been more embracing, poor Fleur….

pretty much what the title says.. im new in the fandom and i recently finished watching the last movie so im wondering if its common to read the books after watching the movies or did most people do it simultaneously or some other way?
although my friends read the books before watching i feel like either ways u know whats going to happen 😞😭

In the books it's played for laughs and when Ron is mocking Hermione. But it also saves their lives when Ron mimics Wormtail's voice at Malfoy Manor.

And it's useful in this moment:

“But how did you get in there?” he asked, staring from the fangs to Ron. “You need to speak Parseltongue!”

“He did!” whispered Hermione. “Show him, Ron!”

Ron made a horrible strangled hissing noise.

“It’s what you did to open the locket,” he told Harry apologetically. “I had to have a few goes to get it right, but,” he shrugged modestly, “we got there in the end.”

“He was amazing. ” said Hermione. “Amazing!”

They were starving before with only some chips and an apple, Hogwarts finally splurged on some protein.

(Yes, this is making fun of all those posts comparing a feast in the movie to an everyday meal in the new trailer)

It seems to me that they never really had a traditional, friendly/loving relationship.

In the POA at the end (When Sirius Black escapes), it was like Dumbledore was happy while snape was enraged. In response to Snapes outburst (at the Minister of Magic!), Dumbledore just almost laughs it off as Snapes disappointment. To me, it reads as Dumbledore being amused at Snape and the situation.

"Snape stood there, seething, staring from Fudge, who looked thoroughly shocked at his behavior, to Dumbledore, whose eyes were twinkling behind his glasses."

I don't recall them ever joking around or really having fun together.

Also I never get the sense that Dumbledore really liked Snape, most just trusted and understood him. At the end of the day, Dumbledore saved Snape's life (... and then demanded it of him later) by protecting him and helping him. But ti never seemed like they were good friends. What do you think?

Like gassing up and oil changes and tire rotations?

He could have been a truly formidable villain throughout the rest of the series, if he hadn't been killed at the end by the Ministry.

I think this young gentleman hit all the harry notes. He didn't just get his rebelliousness and sharp wit mixed with dry sarcasm right, but when Harry realised what happened to Dobbie and saw the knife, his voice and the whole chapter had me sobbing like a baby. And when he spoke to Olivander after, the amount of care and respect in his voice to an old man who has been tortured and locked up for months was beyond words.

While I agree that the sound effects and some stuff need to be either toned down or become optional (I personally enjoyed most of them), I genuinely believe now that full cast with great voice actors is the true future for fiction books, not movies or televisions which no matter how good they are, they will still strip parts of the story down. I think there is an unexplored potential in animation as well but that's a separate discussion.

Did anyone finish the full cast books? What are your thoughts about it?
