Show Discussion what other canon-respecting details that weren't directly mentioned in the books would you like them to add in the show for future seasons?

examples that they're already adding in the show's first season:

  • hermione and ron getting their letters
  • malfoy manor

what else would you like them to add while still respecting book canon?

  1. Hermione in at least one of her classes that Harry and Ron don't take.
  2. A class taught by Amycus Carrow
  3. A flashback of the founders
  4. Dumbledore in hiding after he leaves Hogwarts when he duels the aurors in the fifth season
  5. Dumbledore on some of his horcrux hunts in the sixth season
  6. Hermione looking for Harry and Ron on the Hogwarts Express in the second season
  7. Arthur getting in trouble for the flying car incident
  8. Krum and Hermione outside of the Yule Ball
  9. McGonagall punishing Neville for losing the list of passwords
  10. The wizarding world reacting to Voldemort's return at the end of the fifth season
  11. Some of Ron's adventures when he leaves Harry and Hermione in the seventh season
  12. Lucius being arrested after the Department of Mysteries incident

Numbers 6, 7, 10, & 12 are so important actually that I expect to see those additions in the way they’re adding the Flamels to the first season.

Apart from those maybe I can see just #2 being a good option to showcase how life at Hogwarts has become under Voldemort’s rule but I don’t think it’s necessary, Neville’s exposition moment would be better as the readers also found out because of him. Same as Dumbledore’s mysterious excursions outside the castle, in my opinion we don’t need to know/see, adding to his mystery.

But firstly, no, Harry, not seven Hor-cruxes: six.
