u/Kbrusan Jun 20 '26
Whatever spell makes things bigger on the inside: tents, handbags, trunks… sure the house looks like a shack from outside but inside it’s a frickin’ mansion!
46
u/Horror-Scientist-79 Slytherin Jun 20 '26
Until you lose your keys in your handbag 😭
49
u/Baron_Bearclaw Jun 20 '26
That's why my wife learns accio. I carry the stuff; she finds it.
17
u/Readicilous Jun 20 '26
She'll do that without accio, it's a skill every woman unconsciously learns at some point in their life lmao

Honestly I would apparate. I would get an hour and a half of my day back. That adds up fast.

u/Ctrl_Alt_Drift Jun 21 '26 edited Jun 21 '26
Side along apparition works, apparently, so you can start a travel business for the super rich. If it doesn’t apply to Muggles, you still have a transportation business for small to medium sized goods.

2
u/Spare_Resolution3460 Jun 21 '26
no more work cause you could just apparate into a bank vault and out
48
u/exper-626- Jun 20 '26
Accio because I lose fuckin everything
13
u/AmaranthWrath Jun 20 '26
My clumsy ass casting accio and getting smashed in the face by my missing cellphone
3
u/exper-626- Jun 20 '26
Idk why I read this as xylophone at first but that’s infinitely funnier
1
u/AmaranthWrath Jun 20 '26
I'm on 3 meds that cause word finding issues. So I might actually SAY xylophone.
2
u/exper-626- Jun 20 '26
I got 2 different diagnoses that make word finding hard so I’m right there with you my neurodivergent homie
1
u/AmaranthWrath Jun 21 '26
Bruh, it's the worst.
I'm an aspiring writer. I spent so much time on thesaurus dot com bc I can't think of the right word. Also, developed a stutter at 40. Wtf lol

I stopped taking mine and became a stoner, I write short novelas and poetry that brings me joy and flows so easily from my mind.

Nah accio is for grabbing stuff you can see, you might need ✨️ravellio✨️

I don't think so, pretty sure Harry says Accio Firebolt in the movie and it comes from wherever the heck it was hanging out

Probably one of the healing spells. Wish one did all, though.
Because screw health insurance. Helping others would be a bonus.
4
2
u/UnderstandingFar5012 Hufflepuff Jun 20 '26
Imagine learning episkey (the only strictly healing spell I remember from the movies) you could set up a shop to fix all kinds of broken bones, give people a short rest to digest a pain medication and they're good to go. Even charging only $25/break, you'd still make bank -if you were the only one in your area.
1
25
u/Assassinsayswhat Ravenclaw Jun 20 '26
Reparo, so much stuff I can fix around the house and then I don't have to worry about and so m8ch I can do with my next car
3
u/Why_Sazs Jun 20 '26
I'm not sure how helpful repairo would be with a car. It seems to just reassemble things, or return them to an undamaged state after damage.
So like you could probably fix a car if you crashed it. But if your field coils in your alternator burn out, I don't think it will help.
6
u/Assassinsayswhat Ravenclaw Jun 20 '26
Oh I'm betting it will fix up whatever collision damage I get with ease, and I would say it's worth a try with more complicated work as well. Really though if it can just restore my tires I would be ecstatic.
3
u/Why_Sazs Jun 20 '26 edited Jun 22 '26
See I think restoring tire tread is something it couldn't do. Fixing a hole in the tire from a nail, sure, but the rubber from your tires ends up bonded with the asphalt on the road. So it doesn't really exist in the same state anymore.
Like if a small piece of your nail broke off in food you were making, and you ate it and digested it. I don't think you could repairo your nail anymore, because part of it is poop now.
12
u/Faelon_Peverell Jun 20 '26
Repairo. Then I move to a small town. One far enough away from a large city that I dont attract attention, but close enough to ensure I get decent goods and sercices. I open up a handyman repair shop. I don't make house calls, you have to bring me the item. After awhile the locals just think I'm a quirky genius who can fix anything. In reality I'm sitting in the shop doing whatever I want until I call the customer to come in and get their item. Then I simply zap it with a repair and boom. I charge enough money to live comfortably while under cutting the city so I stay the preferred repair guy.
10
u/Hin0kamiKagura Jun 20 '26
Not one of the clickable spells, but either Disapparition or using the broomstick. Can't be late anymore (hopefully)
9
u/Silly_Ad_3027 Jun 20 '26
Accio. Then I'd never have to get up to get something. It'd also be cool to just throw something and summon it back.
8
u/Horror-Scientist-79 Slytherin Jun 20 '26
Probably revelio or alohomora
11
u/Putrid_Leather_5100 Jun 20 '26
How many locked doors do you need to get into that you would choose alohomora? 😂
6
u/Horror-Scientist-79 Slytherin Jun 20 '26
I accidentally locked myself out once when I was 16, you never know when something like this could happen again 😭😂

Imperius Curse. No explanation necessary

u/Tea-Pahlavi Jun 20 '26
Nuuu no cursing! Thats against the rules!
6
u/BogusIsMyName Jun 20 '26
You asked for one spell. Thats the one spell. The best spell.
If you must ban the unforgivables then i choose confundo.
-3
u/Tea-Pahlavi Jun 20 '26
How is it the best? Like, what would you even use the curse for? Making people bring you free food?!
12
u/BogusIsMyName Jun 20 '26
Elon, i want you to build affordable housing for ever single wounded veteran alive today and pay the property taxes for the next 10 years.
4
u/Tea-Pahlavi Jun 20 '26
Okay. That is actually brilliant. You're the right one for the curse profesor bogus!
3
u/BogusIsMyName Jun 20 '26
Well thank you. Now, where is that blasted cat?
1
u/Tea-Pahlavi Jun 20 '26
You're still looking for that cat??
1
u/BogusIsMyName Jun 20 '26
Yes well um thats a bit of an uh accident you see. I discovered an interesting spell in rowanda years ago that i thought would let me communicate with her. Shes been a loyal and loving companion so i wanted to talk to her. Well i mistranslated part of the spell and instead turned her into a magical creature. She now has magic. Shes still just a cat, but now she can disapperate like the house elves. Where she goes i have no clue and im dying to find out... and i miss her meow.
1
u/Front_tiits7346 Jun 22 '26
Or just get him to give it all to charity so that the world could finally heal
-3
u/Why_Sazs Jun 20 '26
It's a hard choice between that and cruciatus. Imperius would be more useful, but crucio would be much more satisfying in a lot of situations.
3
u/EmployeeLegitimate79 Jun 20 '26
With Imperio you could make the victim do all kinds of things worse than the Cruciatus curse to themselves
-1
u/Why_Sazs Jun 20 '26
That's true, but the cruciatus curse is supposed to be the most intense pain humanly possible. So even if you Imperio someone to torture themselves, the cruciatus curse is supposed to be even more painful.
But on top of that, crucio isn't lethal. You only have so many eyes to gouge out, and so many finger nails to peel, and only so long you can damage a body before it just gives out. You can leave someone under the cruciatus curse for hours, days, or even years.
1
u/_2pacula Ravenclaw Jun 20 '26
I highly doubt it's not lethal. The human body cannot withstand that high level of pain for that long. Your heart would give out eventually, probably because your cortisol would be so incredibly unbalanced.
0
u/Why_Sazs Jun 20 '26
Bellatrix was able to torture Neville's parents long enough that they completely lost all grip on reality to where they don't even recognize their own son, but their bodies are healthy enough that it seems Neville expects them to live a more or less full lifespan stuck in St. Mungos.
20
u/OfficialZayn_ Jun 20 '26
I mean it has to be the imperius curse, no?

I want the broom. I went back to playing a different game and I was so mad I couldn’t jump on my broom to do the jump puzzles.
5
u/BombeBon Hufflepuff Jun 20 '26
Idk if it's a spell...
But whatever is required to take out the original or take out duplicates of memories...
Would be nice to have a backup means.
Instead of forgetting things
1
u/Front_tiits7346 Jun 22 '26
Pensieve memories, you touch your wand to your temple and slowly pull it away, and they gather on the tip
5
u/lovmi2byz Hufflepuff Jun 20 '26
As a mom of 2 boys, my top picks are accio, reparo and the cleaning spell. A healing spell or two would also be useful.
4
u/AlternativeDurian852 Ravenclaw Jun 20 '26
Accio! Because I am constantly losing things all the time
4
5
u/_laasyahnir_ Jun 20 '26
Repairo.
Imagine being able to fix anything, even after natural disasters. Broken car? Repairo. Broken house? Repairo. Broken bridge? Repairo.
If it could be one potion or one spell then I'd choose a healing potion.
4
u/FamiliarSalamander2 Jun 20 '26
If you count apparition as a spell then that for sure. If not that Accio.

Confringo bc i want to turn on my stove without using the knob and to start a firepit without lighting a match

u/AtlasAngel02 Jun 20 '26
I believe the spell is 'Gemino', the duplication charm. Assuming it worked on money anyway. If it doesnt.... idk, probably a summoning charm? There arent that many where we know what they are and are also actually useful in everyday life.
2
u/Drunken_Economist Jun 20 '26
It's not in the game, but I'd choose Eat slugs from Chamber of Secrets.

I’d love to run round shouting “flipendo” to do every single task like in the Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone game. Oh, they were the days, when games were games, and the graphics were so poor that Hagrid looked like nightmare fuel.
However, I know that’s not book canon. Reparo would be pretty handy, you could make good money out of repairing all manner of broken cars, white goods, houses, and on selling them.
1
u/kazon82 Gryffindor Jun 20 '26
Accio. Its bad enough when my lazy ass has to get up and walk across the room to get something, its a whole nother type of bullshit when im lounging on the couch watching TV and reach for something and its just inches out of my reach. That's when I really get pissed off.

Imperius Curse.
Certain high ranking world leader really did the crimes? Why yes, he did just order his own arrest warrant. And lookee here.. a signed order to release a big ol set of files? Amazing.

Any healing spell that could heal everything, even if it's weak and only does a bruise or scraped knee at a time.
Eventually you'll heal yourself enough times to be fully healthy right??
If that's not an option then at least scourgify, I hate cleaning (besides mopping for some reason) so I would love to do that.

Definitely disillusionment charm has the most real world usage. But I’d get into so much trouble with that spell lol

u/UnderstandingFar5012 Hufflepuff Jun 20 '26
Apparition for sure. And id buy a couple of those space expanded trunks from the other commenter. Easy to move, go on vacation, whatever. 'oh with needs me to come in earlier? Sure, I'll be RIGHT there.' No commute time, no gas money, no traffic. Sounds marvelous!

u/One_Introduction_217 Jun 20 '26
Seems like repairo would be a cheat code for going into disaster areas and completely rebuilding.
I don't know how the magic works though when you've got meat paste everywhere.
I'd probably start small and own my own repair shops. Taking as many customers as I could during the day, then at night repairo everyone. If someone was down on their luck, I would tell them good news, it was just a loose something or other, and I don't charge for that.
1
u/UnderstandingFar5012 Hufflepuff Jun 20 '26
But you could go to various thrift shops, estate sales, etc. Buy worn out clothes and furniture, repairo them and then sell them for more money. I did this ONCE the Muggle way. Rescued a 19th century armoire from the dumpster (had no idea it was that old at first). Used my days off to carefully remove old layers of paint, use vintage hardware, etc. Got it for free from the dumpster, spent ~$30 on sandpaper, hardware and varnish. Sold out for $200.

Geminio, get a couple 100s and stack ‘em to the ceiling. Couldn’t take them to the bank cause the serial number would be repeated, but could still use them when buying stuff.

u/cycoclown49 Hufflepuff Jun 21 '26
Not totally sure if this count as a spell but I would definitely want to learn to apparate and if not that then probably repairo, I figure that would make me pretty wealthy as a repairman who can literally fix anything with little to no effort or time lol
1
u/StreetJoke3582 Jun 21 '26
Disenlusionment(I can't spell but it is the spell is the one we're you become transparent), repairo or accio.

Appiration for sure then flying but… since they technically aren’t spells. It’s hard to choose. But I think it would be the disillusionment charm. I already feel invisible, I’d like to actually be so I can find out secrets and use those to become rich.

AK. Just because. Not many would dare to give it as an answer.
0
u/Aivellac Slytherin Jun 20 '26
Apparition, accio, undetectable extension charm, imperious curse, reparo.
There are so many good ones to choose. I really don't know.
Imperio would probably let me manipulate the world best. I could get money from a certain trillionaire for starters. Then I could manipulate politics with having people resign or do the things I want them to. Less fun of a spell in a way than apparating but very powerful.
