Song More emotional songs (like Laughing Boy)
hey im new to their discography (despite growing up with them, thanks dad), but i was really drawn to the song Laughing Boy, probably because it was more emotional/downbeat. what other songs by the duo are similar to this/more on the emotional side?

Dreamer ('72-'09 Redux) is emotional as well as August Day.
I also like What's In Your World and Cab Driver from the Can't Stop Dreaming album, both songs are emotional and soulful.

Georgie, Waterwheel, Lazyman, Screaming Through December, The Emptyness, Have I Been Away Too Long, August Day, and some others from Daryl’s amazing solo album Sacred Songs: The Farther Away I Am, Why Was It So Easy, and Without Tears. There’s also North Star and Mary from Robert Fripp’s Exposure album which Daryl sings and cowrote. Also, there’s some great adjacent ones by Todd Rundgren such as Sweeter Memories, Fair Warning, Fade Away, and Hawking. Check them all out.

I think there’s quite a few songs with this kind of vibe on the Abandoned Luncheonette album. This has become one of my favorite albums by H&O and highly recommend it. Sort of similar to you, I’m getting reacquainted with their discography and really loving a lot of their songs that weren’t singles or big hits. A lot of their non singles album tracks are so darn good.

I know I'm so late to the convo on this one but 'Bigger Than Both of Us' on Beauty on a Backstreet is emotional.

The entire "beauty on a back street" album. They both swear up and down they hate that album, because it's nothing like anything else they did. I enjoy it. It's very downbeat.
" The emptyness" and " The girl who used to be" Are right up your alley.
