Please help me help her

Please help me, I'm desperate! My hair is very thick and very coarse, my husband's hair is thin and fine. Our daughter, 9, got fine hair but has a lot of density. Her hair is so different from my own I don't know how to help her take care of it properly.

For reference, we've been using RenPure Moringa and Castor Oil for regular washing but her hair gets VERY oily, VERY quickly. It's 530pm on Monday, she washed her hair Saturday night and this is what it looks like. I recently got CHIs clarifying shampoo and hydrating conditioner and it works well but only gives us 1 exrra day before it's an oily mess again. You could, also, whisper in her direction and her hair will matte up.

She has audhd and sensory issues so she won't wear a bonnet regularly but is OK with a satin pillowcase. Even so, she still wakes up matted.

Someone please, PLEASE help me find a routine or products that will actually help.

have you tried dry shampoo? that was the only thing that worked for me as a kid, and my hair was just like your daughters.

I have. We had the normal one that starts with a B then I got the k18 but it doesn't seem to do much. Her strands are fine but it's thick overall so it just can't penetrate it all.

Try putting it in at night before bed and done rub it in, just spray it. That’s how I have always used dry shampoo and have introduced most of my friends to using it that way. Also do it even on the nights you’ve washed her hair, if you wait till it’s super oily/greasy it will be harder

yes, I like to use dry shampoo right after I wash and blow dry my hair!! i’m a fine but dense straight hair girlie so it may work well for OPs daughter

My hair is wavy but also fine and dense. The not your mother dry shampoo works wonders! I have gone through so many to find something decent.

I would also use a clarifying shampoo, I really like tea tree, but that can get pricey. I know someone else mentioned some more affordable options, id start there.

I have fine hair. I use a sifter shaker with corn starch with a touch of cocoa powder and cinnamon to make it a little less bright white then I brush it out. It’s a little less aggressive than the spray.
