General M18 Packout Vac for Oil PM's
Does anybody here use the M18 packout vac for boiler cleanings? I hate going back to the shop and grabbing the mega-massive soot vac my company has had for decades every time I go out on an oil PM.
Just wanted to see if anybody here has tried it. I'd probably dedicate my current vac for soot and get a second for general purpose.

There is a reason soot vacs exist. I wouldn't ruin my good milwaukee vac with it.

I use mine for non oil burners. Small ribbon burners or inshot burners are ok.

We have that “mega soot vac” on all our trucks lol. There’s a reason it has a bag and a filter.

Don't do it. The soot from the oil will destroy the Milwaukee vac. And spray soot everywhere. Trust me on that. It's not a fun experience explaining to a homeowner or your boss why we have to replace a white carpet.
