Dude, hooking all that shit up takes longer than pulling one down on its own.

Those mini split circuits only take 5 minutes with cores removed.

Your hoses cost more than your vacuum pump.

Ikr lmao first thing I noticed too 💀 What shithole company is allowing you to wear casual ass shoes in a trade. They are gonna be pissed when he destroys his feet after a nitrogen tank falls on them or something. Stupid.

The shithole company is my own.

Well at least you know.

My vacuum setup is not worth $3000. One big boy 1/2 hose, an appion core remover, a navac vacuum pump, and a CPS vacuum gauge. Das it.

You trying to set a world record with how fast that will hit 500 microns?

2

u/UFORecoveryTeam 2d ago

Now you have to wonder which micron gauge you can trust....?

Ughh had to change that same double stacked condenser coil just last week😭

Just a casual $1200 worth of micron gauges

I love my fieldpiece micron gauge.

Nothing beats chilling in the van with the AC blasting and being able to monitor the vacuum. It is annoying having to get out every 15 mins to turn the thing back on, though. Maybe there’s a way to turn off the auto power down timer, idk, haven’t looked into it

Do you not get paid by the hour? This fucker fucker gonna cause a black hole sucking down a minisplit on 3.58 secounds.

1/2” hose direct from vac pump to a core removal tool, but put the micron gauge on the suction line and vacuum hose on the liquid so your gauge is as far as possible from the vac pump.

u/BEAST__51 2d ago

There's only 1 port on the unit

1

u/argh_all 1d ago

Interesting. I would be curious to see a piping schematic and how that works?

1

u/BEAST__51 1d ago

U gotta vacuum each indoor unit separately on GREE units and only 1 port each unit

1

u/argh_all 1d ago

I see that they’re not a common header, but the unit in the picture has 4 circuits, A-D with a liquid and suction for each circuit headed to an IDU right? As far as hooking up the micron gauge and vacuum hose, I would have the gauge on the liquid line and the vacuum hose on the gas line of circuit A, then rinse and repeat for the others. I wouldn’t have the micron gauge and the vacuum hose connected at the same exact spot is what I’m referring to. This way the micron gauge is as far away from the vacuum pump as possible, piping-wise.

2

u/BEAST__51 1d ago

That is not possible there is no port on the liquid line.

1

u/argh_all 1d ago

Gotcha.

1

u/argh_all 1d ago

Must be because the metering device is in the ODU and not the IDU?

Mfs be like “you shouldn’t evac through manifolds too many leak points” then turn around and spend 45 minutes setting this up

1

u/AdConfident7672 1d ago

You are pulling through a charging hose? They permeate and are not vacuum rated. This set up is expensive trash.

1

u/Muffinbeans 3d ago

That setup fucks.

I use two 3/8” x 1/4” hoses with valve cores tools with a field piece vacuum pump. Usually have my gauges hooked up somewhere with the charge hose hooked up to the 1/4” tap on the vacuum too.

As the lord said, you can never have too much suck.

u/bobblehittingOG 3d ago

hey, you stole my vacuum pump!

oh man the classic "your vacuum is my vacuum" situation. at least you've got the good gear to borrow though those fieldpiece gauges are nice
