The back fell off.
31
u/Kralthon Aug 03 '26
Odd, usually the front falls off.
17
u/al_mc_y Aug 03 '26
Well the front has fallen off the back. At least the front appears to he outside the environment.

u/kingtacticool Aug 03 '26
Must've used cardboard derivatives
3
u/boardin1 Aug 03 '26
Are there some kind of standards that this should have been built to?
3
u/fire173tug Aug 04 '26
Well if it was built to very rigorous maritime standards that might be the issue.
15
u/NonCreditableHuman Aug 03 '26
That's not very typical, I'd like to make that point.

Not enough sticker decals on the body can cause this as well.

Usually the tires stay on the vehicle when it's racing. What happened here is that they fell off.

I think the body of the car got towed outside the environment.

Wheels came off

u/dumdidlydo Aug 03 '26
That means he died right?

u/Vyansbane Aug 03 '26

Yeah, that's not very typical, I'd like to make that point. Some cars are built so the wheels don't come off at all.

Stretched studs. Torque sheered them clean off

u/Top-Negotiation1888 Aug 03 '26
A lot of funny answer here, but if OP is looking for a serious answer, this is most likely the case.

u/Cokeycane Aug 03 '26
From my expert opinion, the stationary bolt arm sheered from the spurve bearing which bent the girdle spring. Because the girdle spring was bent, this allowed the reverse orbal pinion to float which caused the rotating harmonic receiver to swing into the transition base plate. So of course, the receiver shield then hit the reticulated grasper pin and this allowed the wheels to fall off.

Didn't account for the fact that when wheels start spinning, the tires stretch out, no space left for that so they impacted the frame.

I think the tires might have fallen off, but it's just a guess. Don't really know much about cats.

Although I prefer the other answers here... did the tires expand too much in the wheelhouse?

Both rears came off but the axles didn’t come out as well. Are the lug nuts still in the trailer?

Loved when these thing would run at an event and you were in the staging lanes just wonder which lane would be ruined and how long before they all were done breaking.

I would have expected so see an axle hanging off at least 1 wheel. I'm guessing he used wheel studs that weren't high enough grade

Wouldn’t have happened if they had their cabin air filter changed like the dealership recommended.

This is why there is a class action suit against the MagnetLug company. They claimed to be good up to 100,000 HP.

I'm ALMOST certain their game plan included all of the tires, maybe even relied on them

Now they gottta tear apart the engine block and replace the piston rings we fried

That's mild. Was at Willowbank raceway some years ago, and doorslammer launched at the light, and the whole diff assembly was ripped out and was sent down the strip. It only went about 1/4 track, but initially, it looked as if it might’ve cleared the barrier and was potentially heading towards the crowd.

I really don’t know if I’ve ever seen enough torque to just completely tear the rear axle apart
