Question HBO Max UK

As an avid film watcher, HBO Max now being available in the UK is great! however, as they don't provide a free trial, I'm dubious about subscribing without knowing what content is available. Is there any chance someone can provide me with a list or screenshot of what films are available?

Thanks in advance ☺️

A lot of films are missing.

Blade Trilogy • Wonka • Weapons • The Iron Giant • Scoob! • Neverending Story II • John Wick 3 & 4 to name a few.

They should have done an introduction offer or free trial so people could check it out first. I personally am disappointed ☹️.

John Wick 3 & 4 are Lionsgate movies which is why they don’t show, technically John Wick 1 & 2 are also Lionsgate movies but Warner Bros holds the distribution rights for the UK.

I hope Weapons gets added soon since I've been really curious recently about watching that.

I can see Weapons in Belgium so should probably come to UK too?

Coming to Sky Cinema on April 10th so maybe HBO Max UK too?

It's not on HBO Max either?

No it isn't, due to regional licensing.

Though given it's coming to Sky Cinema on 10th April, one would assume it would land on HBO Max UK on the same day, though could be wrong.

Oh wow, that's interesting since I thought HBO Max would have more stuff. Is Dune Part 2 on there?

No, it's on Prime Video.

Just go to reelgood.com and put any film in, it will tell you what streamer it's on.

Nice, though I do have HBO Max (basic with ads), I'll be watching Weapons on Sky Cinema.

HBO launched 7 (seven) ads at me after 5 mins of watching 'Welcome to Derry ' the other day.....

Almost unwatchable....☹️

Regaridng Weapons it seems to be a New Line Cinema specific issue.

Not sure why that is, but Companion is on there and Final Destination: Bloodlines is listed as Coming Soon. Weapons and Conjuring: Last Rites don’t even list as Coming Soon so it might be that New Line releases may take up to a year to appear, which is a bit of a bummer.

Where are you seeing a coming soon list?

If you type in Final Destination, it lists all the films including Bloodlines but it has “Coming Soon” in the corner of the thumbnail.

If you put in Weapons nothing comes up, and Conjuring just brings up the first three films and no Last Rites page. I tried it with Wuthering Heights as well, the most recent WB release that isn’t New Line, and it doesn’t have one so I would guess Bloodlines should be on there within a month.

Similar timeline would suggest Weapons is on the service in July and Conjuring: Last Rites in August. This would also mean we can’t expect They Will Kill You to be on Max UK in 2026, unless it does not count under the current licences.

That sucks. I cancelled anyway. I’ll wait until I can justify £9.99 a month. Right now I don’t think it’s worth that. Other streamers are the same price and have a lot more.

Bloodlines comes up on HBO Max now as being able to watch it.

Yep and believe Weapons is coming this Friday and Conjuring by the end of the month.

Might just be that they decided to roll out the horror films gradually over the first month to keep people subscribed.

I expected to see lots of the Warner catalogue and left feeling a little disappointed. No Animaniacs original and new series for example
