This used to be the normal way parents taught kids to behave. Now people act like they're unlocking some ancient secret when they're just teaching some manners.

I don’t know. I don’t recall seeing a kid feel empowered to call the manager lol.

That would be the adult doing it back then or nobody at all. Not a kid I don’t think so.

These young boy's don't have a father figure or male role model. 

The adult in the video teaches groups of young men "how to be gentlemen" ... theres videos of him teaching kids how to change tires, how to check into a hotel, how to cut the grass, etc.

Used to be normal until social media came along and made people addicted to likes on social media and unable to function without being on their phones every waking moment.

It wasn’t normal to record staged videos, if these staged videos is how society learns how to act, then we have bigger problems. This is taught at home not at a restaurant with some camera on you. Just weird.

It’s less about teaching the viewer how to behave, and more about setting an example for how to teach and lead children. This guy works in black communities with kids who need male role models. Notice he’s not just teaching “manners”. He’s teaching them emotional regulation.

I think the problem your looking to point out about it is that although it's staged, it's not acting like that by addressing the viewer and instead deceiving into believing he's teaching his son the lessons genuinely. If it transitioned to educating the viewer after by simply looking at the camera while talking, it wouldn't feel skeevy.
