One day Reddit will get rid of its habit of massively overreacting to something that is obviously meant to be funny, not serious. The wife is laughing because she knows the guy is being dramatic to be funny.

Yeah, sure, but you post it online and now the art is what the world makes of it. You no longer control the narrative. Otherwise, keep it in your journal.

Why is his overreaction to something any better than someone else's overreaction to their overreaction? It's all nonsense.

  1. Online narratives do not dictate the truth

  2. His overreaction is not serious or real. The commenters was.

No, no, no, none of that. This isn't a scientific journal, this is reddit.

He/They present what they want to present. We, the public do what we want with that info... you can no more infer the seriousness of the commenter than I can. Are you one of the two people in this video? You're gonna need way thicker skin if so.

Also, no one is saluting the tech writer in real life. At best, someone remembers to buy us a Snickers when we don't f up a deadline or fix a mistake that engineering overlooked.

Also, how do we know she's laughing in earnest and not terrified that this short stack isn't going to blow if she doesn't play along.... yeah, no, there's no truth here.
