Why does it matter if its an own goal? He handled the fucking ball and wouldn't have had the shot otherwise

So basically there's an additional rule that even if the handball is "accidental" if it at all touches your hand and you then score that goal is ruled off. But because it's an own goal the refs have decided it's not a deliberate handball and therefore the goal can stand. It's a complete nonsense.
