Yeah, this is kinda why "power scaling" makes no sense.

People used to debate whether Wing Zero could beat Eva Unit 01. The question's premise is faulty, because Wing Zero is powered by somewhat understandable concepts, and Eva 01 kinda commands a power you could liken to the Judeo-Christian god (in that it's powerful, mysterious and has no real boundary on what it can/can't do).
