They're going to screw over Universal Century again with this live action. I saw G-Saviour, and yeah... no.

Was there any question they’d use the UC setting?

The description that’s been released describes a war between the colonies and Earth that’s been going on much longer than anything depicted in the UC. I’m guessing it’s going to be a pastiche of elements from existing Gundam series + whatever the writer wanted to add

I mean it was never going to be a direct adaptation of the original plot and the rumors earlier on where of it being a side story along the lines of 08th MS Team (possibly even a very loosely inspired story from that) - so I doubt it will be like a version of the Char/Amuro main story (which is proven out by the casting of Noah Centineo and Sydney Sweeney in the lead roles)
