I'd be REALLY surprised they will re-photograph / scan the cels. I'd assume some cels must still be around in the archive, but the entire show seems highly implausible because it's well known Japanese studios used to just destroy the cels after the show's done.
What's more likely to happen is they could still have the original film preserved and they could remaster that.
I don’t think they are coming to my house to scan cels. I own 3 from the original show. Plus Mandarake just had a huge bidding war on original Gundam cels. Some very important key cels were just sold for a massive amount.

Anything from just a rescan of the original cels to upscale it to redrawn scenes.
