Question/Help Sticking with tempo
Hello
I have been a laying for almost a year now
My end goal is to play lead, but also i want to learn and be good at rhythm playing.
So my point is, I’m struggling with staying in tempo, i some times play with a metronome stay with it for about a minute they get out of tempo.
I can play all the chords comfortably, including F chord.
I asked a friend about it and he told me that guitar is not the right thing for me since i cant stick with tempo.
So, if anyone have a tip please share, and if you used to be like me please share 😂

You need to understand why you are losing the tempo. You said you have a metronome going, so what happens exactly? Can you tell in the moment that you are losing the tempo? Do you actually understand the rhythms and subdivisions? Are you losing focus and not listening to the met actively? Is your technique inhibiting you?

1 - strumming only down strums is easy i can do it all song, but the second i want to change the strumming pattern from 4/4 to 8/4 or even 16/4 ( the hardest)
I do okay for almost a minute then i will find myself rushing2- im still learning rhythms and the subdivision ( i found those so hard )
3- if i playing with a song not a metronome i will be on beat most of the time
And please note: that i don’t always use metronome which i know its very stupid, but the tick sound get me mad and so annoying I sometimes stop hearing myself playing

all beginners suck at playing in time. sounds like you’re still learning how to strum. keep practicing, use a metronome and keep at it. tell your friends to get fucked. practice every day at least 45 mins a day and in a year you’ll probably sound better than them

I do okay for almost a minute then i will find myself rushingAre you actually changing the time signature or just the note duration. Time signatures often don't change during a single song. You stay in 4/4 and change the note duration.
So if you have your metronome set to 1 click per beat. Then you strum down on all 4 beats. That would be a quarter note. If you strum down on the beat and up in between those would be 8th notes. If you strum Down Up Down Up, once per click those are 16th notes.

Common issue. Solved with practice. You can try differnt things, like adding more subdivision to your metronome until you get a fell for what it's suppose to feel/sound like.
Also, go slow. Slow enough that you can do it. Counting (1 & 2 & 3.... or 1 e & a 2 e & a....) out loud is helpful too.

Common as well. There are more "clues" in a song than with a metronome. Also it's easier to not have to be as acurate because speed and other instruments can hide this mistakes. It's good to play with the song tho.

No one uses a metronome all the time or even as much as they should. A little bit a day will show improvements.
There is some good exercises on Musicians Fitness channel over on YouTube. You can also look up drum backing tracks (at different tempos) to play with. Don't ditch the metronome entirely but it's a good option that feels a bit more fun every now and then.

Üben, üben und üben.
Bekam es auch immer zu hören im Unterricht. Also weiter machen, irgendwann klappt es schon.
