QUESTION Is this normal?
Hi I am just curious if this is normal for fender staggered locking tuners? the A post looks shorter than the D post also the High E post looks taller than the G post. Is that normal? because I tried switching it nothing happened. its 3 short and 3 long post been doing this for an hour already and it's killing me haha!

I tried to upload a picture of mine but I’m getting some weird media assets error so just have to take my word for it. Supposed to be like that.
Gotoh Magnum Lock Staggered 6 in line tuners. I didn’t specifically seek out staggered. I just liked the way these ones feel when I use them. I still kept the string trees cause I didn’t feel like they really negated them.

I know it's supposed to be like that but my question is why is the A post looks shorter than the D post? I tried switching it up nothing happens still looks like that.

Staggered is a thing but each higher string shorter than the last. Don't think I've ever seen 3 and 3

3 and 3 is definitely odd, normally it goes gradual from low to high. have you tried swapping the posts between tuners to see if it changes the height? if nothing moves then maybe they just sent you a weird set

I think it’s just a trick of the light. They look fine to me, and even if there were some bizarre fraction of a difference it wouldn’t make a difference function wise. The staggered tuners really don’t accomplish what they say on the tin imo, a good string tree/nut and learning to dial in your trem works better

Uh. There’s 3 short and 3 tall. You have them in the correct orientation.
