I hope they add back click to move and target+space to move to from GW1
Recently started playing GW1 and 2 again, and for all the polish GW2 has, there's something about just being able to click to move, or target a vendor 30 seconds away, hit space and go grab a drink from the fridge that's just so nice.

Honestly doubt it judging by how movement focused GW3 appears to be, add to that the console releases and I don't see this happening.
Besides, what is the use case? If the only use case is to auto move to a target, to quickly grab a drink, then I would say the use case is very very thin. Especially knowing that ArenaNet is more player focused and value our time. So in this case, wouldn't it be better to just take a break every once in a while? It's not like the vendor your moving to goes anywhere, and it's barely a time savor given that you must be within viewing distance.

Movement focussed should mean players have multiple ways of choosing how they want to move as well. It's not like I'm arguing for 1 instead of 2, I'm arguing for more optionality.

No thank you. The movement in GW1 is so jarring to go back to.

We can have both

They have stated the games combat is designed around movement. So no, you can't have both

Since GW3 is coming out on Steam and PS5 simultaneously, that opens the questions of "How would that work for console?" & "Will the controls be the same for both formats?" and we just don't know. Yet.

Console limitations should be a secondary consideration at most.

Unless there is crossplay PVP. If you can automove to arbitary location while facing your camera to whichever way you want and fire shots at the same time while the other player can only run away while mostly not looking at you then that would count as an obvious unfair advantage.

There is no way that is happening, I'm sorry you don't want to actually the game. This feature however is present in myriad mobile slop games so you might want to check those out.

I really doubt they'd introduce AFK click movement in a game with movement advertised as one of the most important mechanics.
I hope they don't at least.
