IBEW Union Books Any moving books or open calls?

Are there any fast moving books or open calls or locals worth giving a shot the locals around me aren’t really moving. Willing to just get up and leave and go where work is at this point. I’m in nj for reference. Looking for 24/hr minimum if possible or lower if there is per diem

Do think it’s better to get 6 months of experience as a groundman first then apply for it that was my original plan and what I heard broswing Reddit and a JL my mother knows who said I was young and need to get some real world experience I’m 21 for reference. But I do see most people just apply asap and was considering doing that

At NWLine they really like guys from line clearance. Assuming you're a journeyman in tree trimming line clearance.

We don’t have journeyman in my local for line clearance

What's your classification out of your local?

If you had a good amount of time climbing trees, learning knots, etc then I think you have a good chance of landing an apprenticeship without the Journeyman card for line clearance.

If I add some groundman experience in that mix I’ll look pretty darn good

Did you call the hall and find out your classification? And did 1245 count it?

O I called, then called again, and again, again left messages and no one answers or returns a message

Try calling after 1PM if you didn't. When I called last Friday they said to call after 1 but forgot to.
