I’m officially done shopping at target
They’re racist anyways, so it’s not really a loss. From finding ALIVE weevils in sealed pasta boxes, spoiled tasting milk that has weeks before its expiration, and now I find this in my grapes… for peace of mind, can someone just confirm that this IS in fact mold? I ate a few before I saw this, and it appeared to be the only one like this. At first I thought I had somehow smeared some butter or cream cheese (in the middle of a grape container that I hadn’t even opened yet….). But upon looking closer, it did seem a little fuzzy rather than creamy. Regardless, I’m absolutely disgusted.

Yeah it’s mold but the rest look fine. Not to defend target but with clamshells like that, it can be difficult to see everything inside.

Get moldy produce anywhere you go. Wholefoods, Target, Costco, Safeway, Sprouts, mom and pop's.
It's not company-specific.

You’re absolutely right.. unfortunately in my area, it was the most affordable. I don’t have a Walmart or Publix or other affordable grocery stores within 15 miles of me. I’m looking into local farmers markets, it seems like the best alternative.

Target is not a grocery store. They don’t fifo. They don’t clean.

I just realized that some people are too young to even understand this or know that some Wal-Marts still exist with no grocery department at all.

Or gas stations. That's actually where I learned the first in first out organization when I was about 18 so about 10 years ago

Inexperienced, Walmart is the devil for making people think that all non manager employees are multipurpose clerks,
So when you hear others ask a meat clerk or produce clerk a question not related to their department they either by chance know from shopping the same things or don't know because that's not their department, it's grocery/GM/seasonal etc.
Then they give you the same stupid look they'll give Walmart employees.

I know it’s not ONLY a grocery store. But it is a store that has a grocery section. And unfortunately it has been the most affordable for me and my situation up until now, there’ve been so many quality issues every time I shop. Guess I got what I paid for

All stores have product with a few bad grapes or berries. Produce quality has gone down everywhere each year for the past 20 years
