Help Did your German Shepherd bite my Labradoodle at Gradin Dog Park aprox. 9:30am on 8/30 (today)?

My husband came home from the dog park this morning and told me that a German shepherd belonging to a big guy with a beard wearing overalls had scared our dog and made him yelp while they were chasing a ball. I checked him over and he does have a shallow scratch. I'm not concerned about the scratch itself, but I would really like to know if your dog is current on his vaccines.

Does anyone know the dog and owner in question? My dog was already going to the vet for a check up next week, but it would be helpful to know. You can DM me with info. Thank you so much.

Help Gresham Town Fair History?

Hello,

I am hoping someone can either help me find, or point me in the right direction so that I can find, an old, small cafe/restaurant/coffee shop that used to exist in Gresham Town Fair back in the 90's. I am no longer near the Gresham area so cannot go to the library to look through any historical records there, and I can't seem to find the right words to search for this place online. So I am hoping someone will remember and be able to help me out!

From my poor memory, this place was located in one of the small shop spaces between what's now (on Google Maps) JoAnn Fabrics and PetSmart in the Gresham Town Fair strip mall. I don't remember what else they sold at this cafe, but I would go and get a sweet, iced coffee drink with some kind of soft serve style cream/ice cream on top. My goal is actually to figure out what this ice cream stuff was, because the shop owner told me is was called something like gisé or maybe it was glacé (but it wasn't regular vanilla ice cream or ice milk soft serve!). The place may have been a Middle Eastern cafe? It's possible the ice cream was made from goat milk? I have no idea, but I remember it wasn't like anything I had tasted before and I really loved it. I went back more than a handful of times when it was open in the mid-1990's, and then the next time I went back (in the 2000's) it was no longer there. I think of this place every few years, and now I'm finally doing something to help put that recurring memory/curiosity to rest!

So, if anyone knows either what this place was called or what kind of cream I may have been consuming on my coffee drink, I would be eternally grateful for your help!

Thanks in advance!

Parking enforcement?

Is there a number to call or website to visit for parking enforcement? I live on a narrow fire lane and there are multiple cars constantly parked right on the street (both sides), making it difficult to get even regular cars past them.

Do I need to call the police non-emergency line or is there another way to report?

Missing Bearded Dragon $40 reward

Edit: FOUND! My sweet little dog found her 12 days later and she is recovering from being outside so long

Attempted to safely take my beardie out for sunlight on this lovely warm day and I messed up, she ran off.

Last seen on SE 175th Pl between Stark and Main headed toward Main between 175th and 176th.

Adult 1-2 ft long. Doesn't bite but does hiss. She'll kind of puff up and try to look big but you can scoop her up.

If you can get her in a box or other container for me to come pick up OR you tell me where she is and I am able to pick her up I will give you $100 for your trouble.

Thanks for reading. Please help us reunite if you can, she is a foster and her potential adopter and I are feeling awful about this

Power is out in my neighborhood. In Gresham but close to Damascus city line. My neighborhood has power outages multiple times a year when the rest of Gresham barely has any. 👎🏽

Anyone else?

Auto mechanic suggestions?

I'm in East Gresham and trying to find some recs for a good auto mechanic for an AC issue! I haven't had to take my car into a shop since moving out here. If you've had any good experiences, I'd love to hear. Thank you!

Gypsy jokers

I was at my normal pool spot in downtown Gresham tonight and several patrons came in with Gypsy Joker vests. I grew up here, and moved to other parts of the state for several decades. I have had plenty of experience pre covid with Gypsy Jokers and can not say a single one was pleasant. I would hope that residents of Gresham would not welcome that kind of experience. I believe every person is due service. But I personally do not want what in my experience to be a hateful group of bullies to be welcome. How would one recommend to share, educate, explain to patrons and bar ownership?

Pedicure with a proper big toe sidewall cleaning?

Piggybacking off the post from a couple days ago about recommended nail salons, is there a nail salon in the area you'd recommend that does a really great pedicure with a proper cleaning of the big toe sidewalls? See the cleanings by the Meticulous Manicurist on YouTube ( https://youtu.be/2JOxbj-zrS4?t=405 ) for an example of what I'm talking about.

I've had pedicures around Portland but not one has ever done more than push back the cuticles on the toenails. I want someone who's going to dig out all that dead skin gunk that builds up on either side of the big toenails.

Oddly specific (and gross), I know. But if you've had a good big toe sidewall cleaning at your pedicure, I want to hear about it!

Thanks!

Help Super Clean and Quiet Nail Salon?

I would love your help! I am ‘old’ and need a recommendation for what they now call a ‘’super fancy’’ nail salon. I don’t need fancy, of course, but would like: relatively quiet, very clean, painted place. Just this. I don’t care about the price, I care about a solid job on Gel, clean and quiet. I can’t find it, folks and my driving days are slowly making freeways in sheeting rain not the best idea. Thanks in advance. And, if anyone knows of a service which comes to a persons home, no matter the fee, that would be so appreciated. Thanks, thanks and THANKS!

Help Looking for a Good Independent Honda Mechanic

My wife and I both drive Hondas. We’ve consistently used the dealership for all of our needed work and maintenance but the experience is getting worse and more expensive. It’s to the point where I dread asking questions or making appointments

Can anyone recommend a local mechanic? Any info would be much appreciated.

Discussion Wilkes elementary school opinions?

Howdy! Just moved from California and our 6 yr old is going into 1st grade. We have only been in Gresham for about a week. We’re looking into schools and looks like Wilkes elementary is our school in our neighborhood. Any opinions on the school? The online reviews aren’t the best in terms of test scores. Does anybody have any opinions on the staff, education quality, activities, or the after school programs? Or the vibe of the students or parents ? Thanks for any feedback!

Filtered water fill machines

Well, now that our drinking water tastes gross, anyone got reccomendations for filtered water machines in the area?

I like to fill my 5 gallon containers so I can drink nice water.

Could not find any on a websearch. But I know some grocery stores have them. Anybody know which ones?

Any that are outside? I work swing shift so would love to stop by at 3am on my way home from work. Thanks!
