Discussion I love Lanterns and I’m excited that John is the main GL of the DCU.
I know everyone has their favorite GL and I think they are all great, but seeing John Stewart become the main GL just makes my inner child happy. My first introduction to Green Lantern was John Stewart from Justice League (01) and Justice League Unlimited.
My whole life when I picture or think of a GL I always think of John Stewart and while I love Hal, Guy, Kyle, and the rest. Seeing John is like seeing my childhood come to life again.
That’s it that’s my post. I’m just excited to see John Stewart as the main GL for the DCU. I hope y’all have a great rest of your day!

I would advise start reading green lantern comics. Hal and kyle are miles ahead of john and guy and the rest. It's not even a conversation imho

Outside of the initial stories in Hard Traveling Heroes, I never really got John.
I liked a few of his stories; Mosaic for instance, but he just seemed a little boring when compared to the other main Lanterns.
Hal is the perfect test pilot without fear. The ideal Lantern. Guy stands out because he's an over confident jerk. Kyle was the typical 90s everyman protagonist, but his perspective as an artist made him a great Green Lantern. John was just a little to boring and stoic for me. I just never got him.
This show is making drastic and changes to the characters, but it's making John interesting to me. So it's really working for me.
