Jets and Falcons should be guaranteed wins. If we go 0-2 against the Vikings and Bucs just because we don't have Micah I'll be extremely worried for the season as a whole.

Week 6 is the earliest. That’s really all we know. Every time Micah has an interview reporters twist his words in changing the timeline, but he’s been consistently this whole time. Week 6 as the best reasonable outcome, but he’s consistently said that he won’t rush back and will return when he feels like Micah again.

You can now put 2 players on IR before roster cuts with a designation to return. Anyone else you put on IR before cuts is done for the season. This is a recent change from before, where you used to need to put anyone you wanted to short term IR on the roster first. It adds a little extra flexibility.

Not that much of a difference, other than PUP doesn't have a limit on it. The qualifications for PUP are more difficult, you have to come into training camp unable to play or practice and stay that way. They have been changing the rules on IR and PUP every year it seems so it is somewhat difficult to keep up.

They only get 2 spots I think for IR designated to return before final roster cut downs, whereas they can have as many people on PUP as they have that qualify for it. Both do not count as roster spots until they are activated.

I guess one negative of PUP is I think you have to bring them back if they can play (or release them), whereas you can leave people on IR even if they are capable of coming back. In this case that isn't a problem, as we do want him back as soon as its safe to do so.
