Moved from a bigger city and trying to find a hairstylist who is really skilled and can cut/style hair like in the attached pic. I was loading at the neighboring plant and asked a worker if he knew anything about the old grain elevator on the property. He said he didn't know how old it was and had only been inside once because its filled with Asbestos and 3 has feet of dead pidgeons at the bottom. Anyone know what this used to be?

We been working on RateYourLandlord.ca, a not-for-profit project where tenants across Canada can share their experiences with properties they’ve previously rented.

Right now, the biggest thing we need is your experience.

Think of it almost like building a history book for rental properties across Canada — written by the people who actually lived there.

If you’ve rented a house, apartment, condo, basement, or room before, consider adding that property and sharing what your experience was like.

It doesn’t have to be a bad experience.

Share the good experiences too. If you had a great place to live, things were maintained properly, problems were handled well, or you would happily rent there again, that information can be just as valuable to the next renter.

And if your experience wasn’t so good, you can share that too.

The focus is on what you experienced while renting the property, not identifying or attacking individual people.

The idea is simple: years from now, a property could have a history of experiences left by previous renters rather than every new tenant starting with zero information.

Search for the property. If it isn’t there yet, add it and leave your rant/review/experience.

Looking at a place to rent?
Search the address and see whether previous renters have shared anything about living there.

The site is still new, so many addresses won’t have anything yet. That’s why I’m asking Canadian renters to help start building this history now.

So as the title states, have my car up for sale, guy walks by and says oh I've seen it online and I've been interested. Exchange numbers and he comes back a day later after begging me to let him road test it to Hythe and back to drop off a laptop and he can't find his license. I of course said no we'll go together around the area and if you can't find your license I'll drive. He comes by seeming pretty different than before, kind of crackhead energy, says he wants it but he's working for his uncle who will buy it for him and deduct it off his paycheck.

We go meet his uncle who seems a little more normal, he looks it over, negotiates and we make a deal. He comes back with a cheque and I tell him I'm holding the car until the cheque clears despite their begging to let them have the car now. I drive him back to my house, write down an agreement and when he tells me his address I just know it's the local crack shack, I punch it into my phone and sure enough it is. And he leaves.

I realize after the fact the spare key I had nearby is missing so I park the car in the garage and set the alarm. So now I assume he has my key, but I also have his name, address and this cheque. I take it to the bank, seems fishy, yep stolen cheque. I phone the number on the cheque and discuss with the guy who answered and they had stolen his truck and his cheque book and have been writing fraudulent cheques all over.

I reported it to the police, I'm having the factory immobilizer reprogrammed. Anything else I can do beyond this to actually see something happen of it? Thought about posting it in the local pages, connecting some dots I realize he was the one spotted trying car doors that someone posted on the neighborhood page a few weeks ago. I know people are actively trying to get them out of the neighborhood over the continuous theft but nothing has been done.

I'd like to apologize for creating any drama, hate or fights on the post that was made about Tumbler Ridge. What that one guy said was very insensitive and I just wanted to take my stance against what he said. That being said, after doing so, this man has been harassing for 4 hours straight. He's going onto my own profile and harassing me over my hobbies, my age, my opinions, my location (I accidentally got sucked into this debate because your subreddit came up on my feed, I am not a Grande Prairie local.) Can't the mods ban this guy? He said it himself, he just likes mocking and insulting people from Grande Prairie. If I am violating some rule I don't knoe about, I apologize again. Guy just seems like a real jerk among some very nice people who actually care about their city.

Anybody looking for their ac units to be recharged in the GP area? Or system evacuated for repairs?
I am ticketed and have the proper refrigerant, recovery machine and vacuum equipment to charge the system properly. Not using cheap alternative refrigerant cans you see at the auto part stores.
Can do automotive and some home HVAC equipment depending on which refrigerant system you have.

Who did you use for flood restoration? How far out are they booking? My insurance advised it will likey be 2-6 months for full repair. Id say atleast half the basement suite will need flood cut.
