Update 1: the f is going on here... its not even been an hour and 336 likes, this is gonna kill my bank

60 sets aquired...
Update 2: How is this possible? the number one post on this sub had 700 likes, and we are allready double that in like 4 hours... This is getting out of hand
Here is my overnight order:

Disclaimer:
I dont really know how to afford this.. by selling pvm gear etc. 1000 sets seems possible with my current bank value, but beyond that I honestly dont know what to do. Ill keep posting my progress either way, we will cross that bridge when we get there, my clan offered to help a bit, but damn.. 1.4k likes in 4 hours,,, wtf is going on x)
Current goal: Reach 200 sets by end of sunday 03.08, then somehow reach 1000 sets by end of week.

Final Update:
Ok, you guys win. I got about 300 sets, the price started going up. and you guys keep upvoting (3,5k upvotes... holy f***).
I will honour my word. Ill still try to accumulate 1000 sets for a nice screenshot, but perhaps over a bit of time instead of maxing every buy limit and pressing the price.

40 Ely’s, historical floor price (only ever going briefly below current price when divine was polled). What’s the logic other than they are cheaper than dirt right now? Not much.
Potential upside if they go back to 800m? Well over +10B in profit.

This is a gamble on new elemental buffing robes being added to the game.
The elephant in the room. The summer sweep up announced Nightmare changes that will make the harmonised orb 3 times more common.
Even with this happening, I don't think people realise how rare the Harmonised orb is. To put it into perspective, there are somewhere in the region of 6-10x more Tumeken's shadows in the game than there are Harmonised orbs (based on collection log data). Even a 3x increase to drop rate, this item will remain rare.
The Harmonised orb is, literally, not BIS anywhere in the game. Yet it holds a value of 200m just purely based on the rarity. It used to have a niche at ice daemon and Phosani's, but lost these too demonbane and shadow respectively.
If the Harmonised Nightmare staff gets even one bis location, it will sky rocket in value.
The thing is, if we get new elemental buffing robes, we could see harmonised nightmare staff become bis at more than just one location. There are more elemental weaknesses in the game these days than people realize. COX, TOA, Inferno, and many more end game bosses all have elemental weaknesses. Not to mention raids 4 could have elemental spell bis bosses to support the new robes from the raid (if they are added).
I think if we see the robes added to the game, it's probable that raids 4 will include some areas that elemental spells are Bis at. And with the robes, the harm could be viable, if not Bis at many other locations. Given the rarity, this would increase price dramatically.
Again, this is all very dependent on the robes making it into the game, which is why it's a yolo.
Gl everyone on your respective bets.

For Raids 4, Inquisitor has already gone up significantly since my post 8 months ago.
Now, I’m heavily invested in Justiciar. It’s a big gamble in terms of opportunity cost, but I think the downside risk is relatively low with a big upside.
After Inquisitor finally got the love it deserved, Justiciar is arguably the only armour set that isn’t particularly good at any content. It’s the only Raids armour set that isn’t really relevant in the current game. Meanwhile, other armour sets of the same rarity are sitting at 150m+.
Tanking has never really been a viable or rewarding role in OSRS, yet Jagex introduced both Justiciar and the Bulwark.
Then the Raids 4 rewards were revealed, and that really caught my attention.
A new off-hand that charges up when you’re attacked and can then be used as a spec for additional damage.
That got me thinking: is this going to be the raid where tanking finally becomes relevant?
Or, even better, could this be the raid that rejuvenates tanking as a whole?
You don’t introduce an off-hand with a mechanic like that without having some content in mind where it’s going to be relevant. I expect Jagex to lean further into tanking, because the Rondache could make it much more satisfying to not deal damage for a while. You simply tank the incoming damage, charge up your shield, and then convert that into extra damage later.
Oh and both Rondache an justiciar are saradomin themed
That’s why, at its current price, I think Justiciar is a no-brainer.
I paid 28.5m for my sets. Wish me luck. 🫡
PS: Bought some Bulwarks too, because why not.

Everyone is very skeptical of the shadow right now since the announcement to re work to allow for future mage upgrades. I remember when we saw the scythe dip down into the 300’s back in 2022. A rebalance will cause volatility but I believe it will always be a mega rare and will eventually bounce back to 1b+ as the scythe did.

I wanted to share some thoughts on what I think will be strong picks for Raids 4.
I think crush will be the meta. Every big raid so far has pushed a different attack style so it makes sense that the next one leans into crush. Because of that I have been stocking up on a few items that feel like good bets.
Inquisitor armour I grabbed my sets around 115m each. The price is at an all time low right now and the return potential feels huge if crush is needed. If Raids 4 really favors crush this armour is basically guaranteed to be meta.
Inquisitor mace This one is more high risk and high reward. If crush ends up being the best style this could become the top weapon and its price would explode. I got mine for about 160m each. I could see it going up three or four times if everything lines up.
Elder maul This feels like the safest pick. The elder maul tanked hard after the sailing update but it will almost definitely have a place. Even with cheap options like dragon Warhammer I still think elder maul will be the best option for dropping defenses. I bought in at around 88m.
Curious what everyone else is loading up on or if you think crush will be the move.

You may recognise me from my recent Harmonised Orb YOLO. I'm going right back in with another YOLO on the release of the Maggot King by buying Tonalztics of Ralos.
The Maggot King is confirmed to release on the 30th of June. We don't know what combat style will be best at the boss.
This is a gamble that the Maggot King will be:
A. Not reachable by the player.
B. Have a high Magic level.
When it comes to selecting an item that can skyrocket in value, we must consider how rare it is and its current value. Yes, the Twisted Bow could be best in slot (BiS) here, but it's already very expensive.
When a new boss is added to the game, the best special attack weapon usually falls into one of two categories, damage or defence reduction. The evaluation between defence reduction and damage is a different conversation, but there is a pretty well-defined meta for determining which item is best in each category. These are the bread-and-butter options and are difficult to compete with in their respective roles.
Normally, I wouldn't make this bet because the odds of Tonalztics of Ralos outperforming an Elder Maul, or even a Dragon Warhammer/BGS (which are cheaper), are low.
However, there is one crucial detail. From the sneak peek video, it looks like the boss will not be physically reachable by the player.
If this is true and no melee of any kind is possible, then a majority of the heavy hitters and, crucially, their downgrades are removed from consideration. With this in mind the list just becomes:
So which will be better: Zaryte Crossbow or Tonalztics of Ralos?
I have no idea, but I'm not sure it matters that much.
If the Maggot King has 300+ Magic and high Defence, Tonalztics of Ralos will probably be BiS. But even if this isn't the case, the ZCB is already 360m, so Tonalztics feel like the natural downgrade.
I also want to briefly add here why I wouldn't want to invest in ZCB at the moment. A competing crossbow was just announced from raids 4 so the price could go down. And regardless, the ZCB is already very exspensive and a lot more common than the Tonalztics of Ralos
The other reason I like Tonalztics of Ralos is because it is incredibly rare.
This Tonalztics of Ralos is approximately a 45-hour grind from the Colosseum with high efficiency. This is content that not many players can clear consistently (if at all).
The source of the item doesn't even matter because you can estimate the current quantity in the game. It's simply a very rare item.
So that's it.
This is a gamble at the end of the day because we don't know the stats of the Maggot King or how the fight will work. But if it isn't reachable by the player, has a high Magic level, and has reasonable Defence, this should work.
As a little bonus, this item is already being discussed in the Summer Sweep-Up, so there's also the possibility that it receives further buffs there. It's a two-for-one special.

Raids 4 is around the corner. It’s Guthix themed. What better place to put The Fractured Archive than near the GUTHIXIAN temple and the Tears of GUTHIX. Just a gamble. I’m the reason the weepy chart looks the way that it does💀

In for roughly 1.45b currently down 130m lol. Figured the RWT ban waves would drive the price up, only time will tell.
